These two beautiful, sweet girls (Mom and daughter) were living in someone's shed along with 2 other siblings. They were being fed and loved but the people could not afford to get them spayed, so we offered to help. All 4 have now been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea treated, wormed and tested for v feline leukemia and aids ( both negative). The other 2 have been adopted but Coco and Momma Mary are still available and would love to come home with you! If interested, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com Thank you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   This is a courtesy listing.  This family is not in DPR's care.  For further information please contact Michelle at mchilds2002@gmail.com.  'Willow's kittens were born May 3rd.  They are gorgeous kittens with unique markings.  I have socialized them  and they are very happy and playful.  They've been around my small dog a ton.  As much as I've tried wet food with them they prefer dry just like their Mom.  They are up to date on vaccinations and wormings. If you are interested in learning more about these kittens please contact me at mchilds2002@gmail.com.  I honestly could not afford to take in Willow but she was persistant coming around to my house and making eye contact.  I'm grateful I did and only want to find the best homes for them.'Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2026, 1:30 pm

Story
Francine – A Sweetheart Who Loves Everyone She Meets ❤️! Meet Francine, a beautiful calico girl with a gentle heart, bright eyes, and a personality that grows sweeter every day. When Francine first arrived, she was a little unsure of her surroundings, but this lovely girl has truly blossomed. Now she happily comes forward to greet visitors and eagerly seeks out the attention she loves so much. One of Francine’s favorite things is spending time with people. The moment someone walks into the free-roaming room, she’s ready to say hello and politely ask for pets and affection. She has discovered just how wonderful attention can be, and she never misses an opportunity to soak it up. Francine is also a big fan of other cats and enjoys their company, making her a wonderful choice for a home with feline friends. Her friendly, easygoing nature helps her fit right in wherever there is love to share. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will greet you with excitement, enjoy your attention, and bring warmth to your home, Francine is ready to steal your heart. She’s waited patiently for her forever family—now all she needs is someone to give her the happy ending she deserves. Francine is now playing in our Millsboro PetSmart adoption center.  Please stop in to meet her! Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Not ready to adopt?  Please consider fostering:  https://forgottencats.org/foster-a-cat/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Trainer)      July 1, 2026, 12:16 am

Spice - Female - Calico - ~12 weeks old as of 06/08/2026.Spice has such unique Calico facial markings. She has a line down the middle of her face with one side mostly black and the other mixed. She shows a little bit of her spicy self sometimes when you go to pet her. She’s just unsure and nervous when being held. Once you start petting her, she relaxes and starts purring. She will need someone to be a bit more patient with her. She probably wouldn’t do well in a home with small children. She is friendly with other cats. She is being fostered with her sibling “Sugar” (adoption scheduled). Please be patient when adopting a cat/kitten. They need time to get used to their new home and family and feel safe in their new environment.   Spice and Sugar are ~12 weeks old as of 06/08/2026 and are microchipped.  The sisters really love each other and would love to be adopted together.    They are now playing in our Christiana PetSmart adoption center.  Please stop in for a visit!   Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Margie D.)  July 1, 2026, 12:16 am

Story
Ymir is the muted tabico with hints of orange. She has a vertical white strip above her nose and brown ears. She's the fluffiest and might grow up to be a real floof one day.  If you want a cuddly cat, this is the one. She purrs from anything, even just saying 'Hi' is enough to make her happy. She is the most chill of the group, usually sleeping on the edge of things watching down at her siblings battle with each other. She is also the easiest to pick up, and if you're gently she will happily sleep wherever you place her.  Brother: Armin (FCID# 06/16/2026 -38) Sister: Mikasa (FCID# 06/16/2026 - 39) About all of them: They are 8 weeks old as of 6/18 They love following you around the house They find TV mesmerizing  They will run around your feet when it's time for food They are curious of other cats and have never shown aggression Their favorite toys are anything that they can get their mittens on Come see them at the Glen Mills PetSmart Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Not ready to adopt?  Please consider fostering:  https://forgottencats.org/foster-a-cat/.   Thank you!  (Foster:  Dan)July 1, 2026, 12:16 am

ABOUT CHRISTMAS CHILI AND MISS KRAMPUS! Meet Christmas Chili and Miss Krampus, our pretty mamas! These two came to HAP at separate times, both strays with kittens in tow and both upset at being caged. After a few months of medication and socialization and not much progress, we decided to put the two ladies in a room together, as a last ditch effort. They immediately took to each other and have been inseperatable ever since! Now with each others support and comfort, they two have started to enjoy human attention a little more! Christmas Chili is the more outgoing of the two, she enjoys chirping and booping her human friends, once she gets used to them! Miss Krampus is more on the shy side, though she does enjoy playing with her human friends, as long as they keep their distance! *Christmas Chili and Miss Krampus both adore other cats! We don't recommend they go to a home with dogs or children.

Story
ABOUT GORLOCK! Meet Gorlock, our handsome black kitty! This guy came to HAP as a stray, so we don't know much about his past. Once we were able to look him over, we noticed he had quite a few bite wounds on him, likely from fighting other cats outside. Because of this, we have to put him on a 4-month quarantine, during which time he cannot be around other animals. Gorlock is a very social and chill guy, who loves to be around people! He enjoys hanging out and taking it easy, and he loves to snuggle up in a sunbeam. He also enjoys licking his human friends necks, which is weird but charming! *Gorlock has never met other cats, dogs or children, but we believe he'd do fine with them! *If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT ZANE AND PONY BOY! Meet Zane and Pony Boy, our handsome little guys! These cutie pies came to HAP at different times for different reasons, but decided they couldn't live without each other! Zane came from another shelter who didn't have space for him, and Pony Boy was abandoned in a nearby park. Needless to say, they've both been through a lot in their lives! It's no wonder they've bonded so strongly with each other. Zane is very active, sometimes a little too active for his human friends! He loves to explore and get into boxes to play hide and seek. He can be a little shy at first meeting, but warms up pretty quickly! Pony Boy has a hard time trusting people, given his past abandonment. When he does warm up, he can be a very sweet and snuggly guy! He loves to play, with his buddy Zane or with a human friend! He can be a little rough, so we've been working on gentle paws, and he's doing well! *Zane and Pony Boy both get along okay with other cats though they can be a little clique-y with new cats! We don't recommend children, as Pony Boy can be a little swatty. We aren't sure how they'd do with dogs.
