Story
Josephine (formerly, Lumpy Space Princess (LSP), and her sibling came back to us at no fault of their own. She is a kind and very sweet girl. She strode right in to meow at her foster mom as if to say "HI! I what are you doing?" Josephine had no fear of the adults kitties and new spaces to run and play. She is affectionate with people and joyful when given toys and play time. She likes more space to roam and jump, but is easily able to entertain herself when needed.

Story
Crystal and a bunch of other cats were living in an alleyway in a not so good part of town. They were multiplying out of control and being threatened by some non cat loving people. We were asked to help, and when we went out there were a lot more than we thought but we did the best we could to try to get as many as we could. Surprisingly enough they were all pretty friendly and very sweet. They now all are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for fvrcp and rabies, flea and worm treated and tested negative for leukemia and AIDS. Now they are looking for new permanent, inside homes. If you are interested in Crystal or any of our other castaway cats please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com

Story
Lap and Pets, Please!!  This beautiful girl is Bandit. Check out her amazing calico coloring and wide white stripe from her forehead to her tummy. Such a stunner! Bandit is affectionate and friendly, even with new people. She was fine with being picked up. I held her in my arms, and we gazed out the window together. Could Bandit be your window-gazing best friend forever? Please check out her videos:  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/v4PBpPkt-Wg  and  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Frje9w1cYVg  and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TIpvLfjwOo . Bandit is very happy to be out of the adoption center condo and in a foster home.  Bandit says, 'I’m a typical crazy calico girl.  I have all the calico attitude to go with it! I like attention and will talk to you to get it.  I give love nibbles.  I also like to purr.  Chase toys are my favorite, especially the laser ones. I don’t really like other cats, I would be better in a one cat home.' Bandit is about 2 years old and must be an only cat. Please ask to meet this sweet girl.  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.   Thank you!  (Foster:  Trainer)April 29, 2025, 8:00 am

Story
Hello, my name is Annie. I am a 5 1/2 month old female calico as of April 27th. I had a bit of a rough start in life as, even though I am just a baby, I had 6 kittens!  (Cats can get pregnant at 4 months of age).  I am so happy now at my foster home. I love to be held wrapped in a baby blanket. I also adore playing with ribbon toys. I am timid with new people, but once I get to know you, I will purr when you pet me. I love cats. I have never met a dog or small child. They may be okay too, but I might take a while longer to like them. If I seem like a fit for your family, please fill out a no obligation application and come and meet me! Thank you! Love, Annie. Annie is playing with her foster family. Please submit our no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/. Thank you!  (Foster: Amanda M-A.). May 15, 2025, 3:00 pm

Story
ABOUT SMOKEY AND BANDIT Meet Smokey and Bandit, our 2-year-old sisters! These girls arrived at HAP from a hoarding situation, so adjusting to their new environment has been a big change for them. However, they’ve started to settle in nicely! Smokey is the more outgoing of the two, though she can be a bit shy at first. She loves to play and can usually be won over with some fun playtime! Bandit tends to be more of the observer, she likes to hang back on the sidelines while her sister takes the lead. After some time, both girls become incredibly sweet and love spending time with their human friends! *Smokey and Bandit both do well with other cats, but we recommend they go to a home with no dogs and no children. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
ABOUT POGO! Meet Pogo, our precious little tripod kitty! This beautiful girl was brought in by a good Samaritan, who found her after she had been hit by a car. They took her to the emergency vet, who amputated her hind leg and tail. After a recovery period, Pogo is all healed up and ready to find her forever home. Pogo is a very sweet, very outgoing girl! She loves to explore, so long as it's ground-level. She enjoys playing, but she mostly enjoys finding a cozy hiding spot to take a nap in! *Pogo is missing a back leg and her tail, which has caused her to put more strain on her joints and spine. Because of this, she is on medication to help ease any discomfort she might have. **Pogo doesn't get along with other cats, and we aren't sure how she'd do with dogs. We think she'd do fine with children. *** If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
ABOUT MOTHER NATURE! Meet Mother Nature, our sweet little 1-year-old grey girl! This angel was brought to HAP as a stray mama, with her babies and baby daddy. We sent her to foster with her babies until they got old enough to be adopted out. Now it's her turn to find her forever home! Mother Nature is a very quiet, nervous girl, which is very understandable! She's been through a lot of changes, so it takes her some time to settle in to a new routine. Once she does, she's very sweet! *Mother Nature gets along well with other cats, but we don't recommend dogs or children. **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire!
