Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Skittles! How gorgeous is this little girl?! We just can't get over how pretty her coloring is. And she was an awesome personality to go along with her good looks. She is very relaxed and chill, especially for a kitten. She loves to sit on your lap, cuddle and be pet. What could be better?! She gets along great with all the other kittens she is being fostered with. Skittles and her siblings were abandoned along with their mother in a rural area of NC. Thankfully, a very nice family took them in and fostered them until they were old enough to be transported up to us to find their forever homes. She will need to be spayed when she is old enough. She is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application' at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms Adoption fee is: $150, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter depositCan’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care! If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. * DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption: Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
