Story
These two beautiful, sweet girls (Mom and daughter) were living in someone's shed along with 2 other siblings. They were being fed and loved but the people could not afford to get them spayed, so we offered to help. All 4 have now been spayed, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea treated, wormed and tested for v feline leukemia and aids ( both negative). The other 2 have been adopted but Coco and Momma Mary are still available and would love to come home with you! If interested, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com Thank you!

Story
Willow is approximately 5 years old and came to live with us when a previous owner in the military had to relocate. Willow was spayed and had her front claws removed before coming to live with us. She can be a cuddly cat but will nip( I hate to say bite because it doesn’t hurt or break skin) because she doesn’t have nails to warn or protect herself. She tends to latch onto a person and identifies them as her person. She does well with children and dogs and previously she was with other cats which she was fine with. There is a behavioral issue regarding litter box usage as she will pee in the litter box with no issue but rarely will poop in one. We have tried to work with her but at this point she is having to be secluded to one room locked away to avoid her pooping all over. She recently had her shots updated and an overall healthy checkup. We are away a lot and she is left home so she may do well with a household that could be present with her more.

Story
My mom had Lexi for 2 years and sadly she recently passed away. I have had Lexi ever since, I love her but my other cats do not get along with her. She can be shy, very sweet and sadly she hides most of the day because of them. She doesn’t have any behavior issues, doesn’t scratch furniture or bite, does extremely well with the litter box, etc. I would keep her but I’ve seen her much happier in a home without other cats. She has been around dogs too without issue. Shes around 4 or 5 years old and she does like to eat wet or dry food, she prefers to eat larger meals just twice a day or just to be free fed dry food. She’s not super anxious about eating. Shes very shy at first but she does like affection & doesn’t mind being picked up. One of her eyes weeps once or twice a week and the vets confirmed she just has an allergy

Story
This is Tabatha a young momma.  She came to foster with a single baby. Baby has found her forever home on 9/27/2025.  Now, Tabatha can look for hers.   She’s a bit cautious at first, but when she warms up, she is a love bug.  Tabatha loves her back scratches and plops down and rolls around when she’s  happy.  She still startles at fast-moving people, but she’s learning.   Tabatha loves adventures and is very inquisitive.  She will sit at the window bird watching, too.  She has no interest in the outdoors.  She would love to stay in a warm house and be pampered.    Tabatha gets along with other cats; she has not been introduced to dogs nor to young children.   Tabatha is small and is maybe a year to a year and a half old.  She is spayed and vaccinated, in need of her booster but will be all ready when the right human comes along.  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Denise P.)November 12, 2025, 11:14 am

Story
Come meet Briar!! Briar is a calico with gorgeous markings. We are thinking Briar’s age is between 3 to 5 years old. I must say though this girl loves to play. Her favorite is chasing her feather string toys. Most of the day Briar spends sleeping in her window bed or watching out the window as life goes by outside. Briar has a laid-back personality. She loves being pet and brushed. If you scratch the sweet spot just above her tail – that’s it - you’re friends forever.  Briar currently lives with a few other cats in her foster home as well as an extra-large dog. Briar seems to be indifferent with the other cats and cautious with her movements around the dog. Briar loves people and getting all the attention. Could Briar fit into your family? Briar is good with: Children: Yes, but I would suggest older children  Cats: Maybe. Briar seems to avoid the other in her foster home. It doesn’t seem like she is looking for any feline friends at the moment.  Dogs: Briar currently lives with an extra-large (100 lb +) dog. She seems to be cautious around the dog but non-confrontational. But I think she would be okay with a smaller dog or one that is not interested in playing with her. Briar is playing with her foster family. Please submit a no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt today: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster: Sonia G.).January 9, 2026, 4:49 pm

Story
Head and chin rubs, please!!!  Meet Coral, a beautiful calico tripod.  Coral came to me after having her leg amputated to gain her confidence living without a leg, and she has blossomed being in a home. Having her leg amputated has not slowed her down at all. She jumps, runs, and plays without issue. Coral loves food, wand toys, soft toys she can easily grab and cat nip. To see her growth and love has been amazing. Coral loves having her head and chin rubbed as she sits there purring away. She loves her people so much and loves just laying near you. While the Queen prefers to rule the castle alone, she tolerates her very chill foster brother.  However, this sweet and sassy girl would love a home and human to call her own. Don’t hesitate to come meet this Queen in her castle. Please check out this video of Coral playing:  https://www.youtube.com/shorts/LB2e-AaQ0F8 .   She is a girl who just loves her humans and cuddling.  Coral is playing and cuddling with her foster family.  Her foster mom would like to add, 'Coral is guesstimated to be around 5-8 somewhere. I’ve only seen Coral go downstairs not upstairs. I don’t imagine an issue as Coral can run and jump as well. She actually has jumped on things and I’ve wondered how she made it up lol. I would imagine though she would not constantly be going up and down, but I could be wrong. Coral does not like my resident cats so she primarily stays on the lower level of the house.' Coral is 5-8 years old and has been waiting for her forever family for more than 2 years.  Could it be YOU?  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Joanna S.)  December 28, 2025, 5:48 am
