Story
Meet Callie a 2 year old female calico with a heart as colorful as her coat. Just like the changing leaves of fall, she reveals her true beauty with time. Callie can be a little shy at first especially around new faces or men but with patience and kindness, she will slowly warm up and show you her sweet, quiet charm. This independent girl prefers attention on her own terms and would rather keep all four paws on the ground so no picking up, please! She is not one for sharing, so she will need to be the only pet in the home. That way, she can enjoy her space, your companionship, and all the love without competition. Callie would thrive in a calm and understanding home with someone who is willing to go at her pace. If you are looking for a low key companion to share quiet moments, cozy evenings, and the peaceful vibe of fall, Callie just might be your perfect match. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863 324 5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30 to 6 Tuesday through Friday, Saturday from 10:30 to 4 closed 1 to 2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month.

Story
Lily was tossed from a moving car in January of 2014 at our home. We found her curled up in the driveway a little fluffy ball in the wee hours of the morning. Lily needs to be a one-cat house as she is FIV positive. I know she has been positive for about nine years. This is not an easy decision for me since she is about 12 years old now. I have had her for the entire time, and unfortunately, my asthma has progressed to where I cannot take care of her as I would like. She is special. Loves treats and catnip. Lily does not mind dogs as long as they do not bother cats. She is more comfortable around small quiet dogs. As for children, she has met them, but my daughter was in college when she came to us, so she has never been around small ones. What does Miss Lily like to do? Lounge. She is a princess who loves to lounge in the sunlight, watch the birds outside, sleep at the end of the bed, and sit near her people, but no on top of them. She will tolerate grooming, for a bit.

My name is Gemma, I love attention ,exploring, climbing on you, being petted. However I don't really like being picked up or held. I'm more of an on my own terms kitty. So be careful cause I fight to get down if you pick me up and I may unintentionally scratch you. I need a forever home with someone whom has patience and understanding. Maybe one day I won't mind being held. Please consider giving me a forever home with you!

Story
This is Adam and Eve. They are a bonded pair, so they need to be adopted together. They are very sweet kitties and love attention once they warm up to you. The previous owner could no longer care for them as she traveled so much, and she couldn't give them the attention they needed. Due to circumstances, Adam and Eve may be subject to a pre home visit. Please only ask about them if you have room for both and remember when adopting a bonded pair. If one is returned, they both must be returned.
