Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting Simon and Baxter! This bonded pair of kitty brothers live in a Montevallo Alabama Foster home and will leave us when they are adopted. Transportation is included in every adoption fee. We pay a licensed USDA animal Transporter for every pet that we send to the northeast. We do not own the van service. Pets see a licensed veterinarian the same week of transport for a health exam and interstate health certificate. Fosters FaceTime with the approved Adopter so you can see your pet and learn about them in real time. We have been adopting dogs and cats to families for over 15 years. These kittens were born to what we thought was a feral Mom cat. She was TNR when they were young, then we rescued them and sent them to a foster home with lots of love and experience with kittens. In less than a week, the black kitten, Simon, was purring! It took a little longer for white tabby brother, Baxter, to warm up, but they've done remarkable and are so deserving of a true forever home. They are inside only and have not wanted to leave the comforts of home. They are happy and playful with each other. They love the human teenager in their foster home. He doesn't expect too much and allows them to live life on their terms and just be playful kittens. That's helped grow their bond so we know they can bond again with you. Baxter (white tabby) and Simon are 6 months old now and about 6 pounds each. Both kittens are neutered, Simon is combo test negative, Baxter is "light" FIV positive. Please do your research. We'd be glad to have the conversation with you. FIV cats should live inside, which he does. Both kittens have FVRCP, boosters, rabies, dewormed, microchip, and they receive parasite prevention. They come with medical records. Simon and Baxter eat canned cat food and dry kitten food every day. They have perfect litter box manners. These two kittens could bring a lot of joy to your home. $350 adoption fee includes transportation and a health certificate. Serious adopters should fill out the application online and we will be in touch with you. We prefer a vet reference current or previous to adopt a kitten. Please call your vet to release information on your pets. https://form.jotform.com/232763732515154

Meet Gigi The Purrfect Cuddler! At just 1 year old and 8 pounds, sweet Gigi has already endured more than any cat should. She was heartbreakingly dumped in a Burger King parking lot in Puerto Rico, but despite her rough start, she has nothing but love to give. Purr Purr Purr Purr Purr... Gigi is unbelievably cuddly and happiest when she's curled up in someone's arms or lap. She is fully vetted, gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children, and is ready to become a cherished member of a loving family. Please consider opening your heart and home to this special girl. Gigi has been waiting for her happy ending. Could it be with you?

Story
Meet Links! Links is an adorable gray tabby boy born in July who currently weighs about 5 lbs. He and his sister, Butters, were found on a rainy night abandoned on a dirt road in rural Alabama, but this little survivor hasn’t let his rough start dim his bright spirit. True to his name, Links is fast as lightning! He loves racing around, climbing the cat tree, and turning playtime into his own little adventure. When the zoomies are over, he’s just as happy being held and will reward you with a loud, happy purr. Links is a fun-loving, sweet kitten who enjoys both playtime and affection. He’s also litter box trained and ready to settle into a loving forever home. If you’re looking for a playful little buddy who will keep you entertained and then curl up purring in your arms, Links might be your perfect match. 🐾🐱 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Our rescue are fostered in Alabama foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Meet Calypso! If you look up the definition of "tortitude" (which, yes, applies to calicos as well), you would find a picture of Calypso. That's it. There would be no actual definition, just her picture, judging you and all of your life choices.Calypso is nine years old so she's earned the right to be judgmental and moody. If she wants to stare into your soul and make you feel bad about life choices you made a decade ago, then that's her prerogative. No one is going to tell her she can't and you shouldn't either. Trying to control Calypso will be like trying to control the weather...or like nailing jello to a tree.Calypso does not like her stuff touched. She is very particular about her belongings. Do NOT rearrange her space, you'll throw off her feng shui and then she'll have to start over and if SHE'S miserable then YOU'RE going to be miserable right along with her! If you move her stuff and she slaps you, well, you were warned. She isn't ALWAYS a terror, though. She can actually be pretty sweet. She loves scratches all down her back, loves having her head scratched, and is even a little bit of a social eater. She's just an older gal who is TOTALLY earned the right to be occasionally grumpy.Especially since she looks like that.Like, look at that face.Say no to that face.Bet you can't.(Calypso surprisingly does well with other cats but REALLY does not like dogs. Kids 12+ should be fine.)To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.
