Calico kittens & cats in Gloucester, Massachusetts

Lola is a gorgeous senior calico that came to us from a complicated 17 cat neglect situation. She is a very shy girl, borderline spirit cat (a rarely seen kitty companion), but she has been coming out of her shell with us over time and we think she will thrive in a quiet home, perhaps with a friendly kitty or two to show her that humans are just weird looking besties. No kids or dogs please, big noises are a little too new and scary for our gentle girl.  Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Penny, a mustachioed glamor 1 year old tuxedo. Loves a fresh breeze and bird watching, wand toys, cardboard boxes, and purring as loud as possible. We both love to be pet, to sit on your lap, and are comfortable being held. We are good with kids, but Olivia can occasionally get overstimulated from too much petting so any young humans will need to learn how to take it slow and recognize her cues that she needs a break. I found TeeTee abandoned in Missouri living under a shed as a kitten in 2021. She lived with me and my family (2 kids through infancy) for 5 years in Missouri and was an indoor/outdoor cat. She likes spending time outdoors, especially at night, and is cuddly when inside. We recently moved to the city of Boston for my job, and while she has a rooftop, she does not have any ability to roam outside. Her demeanor has noticeably changed and I fear she is unhappy with our new situation. Looking to rehome her to a family with lots of outdoor space for her to roam

Mama Tao is a gorgeous and petite dilute calico female. She was found as a pregnant stray on the streets of Nashville, but acts like she’s been indoors her whole life. She enjoys looking out the window, scratching her cardboard scratching post, and lounging near people in gorgeous poses. Mama Tao is estimated to be 1-2 years old and still loves being picked up and carried around like a baby. She hasn’t figured out playing yet, though. She is litter trained and gets along with other cats and kids; she tolerates our dogs, but isn’t the biggest fan. If she joins a family with cats, she will tend towards being dominant. Meet August & Jaina! These two incredibly adorable cats are both 2 years old and it`s clear as day that they share a very special bond. These two found their way to us from North Carolina, their owner having unfortunately passed on. A lovely foster had taken them into their home in their time of need, before arriving in our care. When they first arrived they were nervous and afraid, hiding on top of each other away from any of the staff. But with time and effort they have slowly come out of their shells. Now they can often be found curled up together, with August usually lounging out on top of Jaina. They have grown out of their kitten years and are one of the more calm and relaxed pairs at the shelter. They can be a bit unsure with new people, but give them time and they can be very affectionate and loving.August is the more social of the two, once he gets to know you he`s eager to approach, calling out to you, bumping his head with yours and kneading biscuits on your shoulders. Jaina is just as lovely, but you will have to earn her trust. She is the more timid of the two but once she sees that you`re friendly, she quietly seeks affection.
