Story
Mr. Waffles is a lovable little oddball who enjoys being near people but prefers not to be touched. He’s not a cuddler, but he’ll happily lounge at your feet and keep you company—especially if treats are involved! He’s come a long way and no longer shows signs of fear-based aggression. While he isn’t interested in affection, he’s curious, food-motivated, and enjoys the quiet presence of his people. Mr. Waffles must be adopted into a home with another social cat. He relies on feline companionship to feel safe and confident, and truly thrives when he has a buddy to follow, learn from, and snuggle up with. He’s not a fan of dogs but can coexist with them as long as they give him space. He’s the perfect match for someone who appreciates the unique companionship of a spirit cat—quiet, quirky, and full of personality. Mr. Waffles is currently in a loving foster home and is available to meet potential adopters via Zoom.Submit an application by going to CapeAnnAnimalAid.org/CatApp

Story
Say hello to Mia, who we affectionately call Mama Mia due to the litter of kittens she recently had while in our care. Mia is a very nice little lady who is about 2 years old. Shy at first is friendly once she gains your trust and enjoys pets and playtime. She prefers getting love and attention with her four paws on the ground instead of being picked up. She is a low-key kinda girl who enjoys the quiet life and taking long naps in the sunlight in her comfy bed. Mama Mia is more than ready to love her forever family, and she knows you`ll love her too; after all, how could you resist her?! Mia is now part of the extended stay club, which means her adoption fee has been reduced to help her find her forever home sooner. apply for her at capeannanimalaid.org/catapp

Story
Meet Pumpkin, this lovely boy and his sister are looking for their forever family. Pumpkin is more reserved than Patches and will often be laying in his bed during the day and will make his way out to hangout with Patches later on. He’s been coming out of his shell more and more each day and will look around for his human friends now for some attention. Pumpkin is looking for a very specific home with a family who are understanding of his special needs. This boy came from a multi-cat home where some of the cats were diagnosed with kidney disorders that may be genetic. Pumpkin has not shown any signs and symptoms and may not be genetically related to the affected cats. This boy has also had some blood in his urine previously and while in our care. This has been evaluated and does not appear to be associated with bladder stones or crystals in the urine. We have started him on a special diet and are more than willing to discuss all of this further if you’re interested in adopting this sweet boy. Patches & Pumpkin are now part of the extended stay club, and their adoption fee has been waived to help them find their forever home sooner. You can apply for Pumpkin here: capeannanimalaid.org/catapp
