Story
Ginger Snap is initially shy but loves to play and cuddle once she settles in. Her favorite toy is the String-on-a-Stick. She is loves belly rubs and is learning to be a lap cat. She loves attention and has a nice purrrrrr! She is not tolerating the other cat in the home. So, she would do best as an only cat.

Story
Hi my name is Harley.  I am a very sweet girl.  It takes me a little while to trust you but I am loving little thing from the very start,  I am a dainty girl and I don't like to be treated rough at all.  I stay our of the fray when the boys are playing.  I am usually on the sidelines watching or playing with Dart.  While we have totally different personalities.  I am the dainty one and Dart is the rambunctious one.  We would absolutely love to be adopted together.  I am always looking for him and he looks out for m.  I am great with all the 4 legged creatures here and I love my foster mom!  She took such good care of me when I was abandoned as a tiny baby.   To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Dart is actually in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)May 4, 2024, 9:54 pm

Story
Callie is a beautiful long-haired Calico. She is approximately 5-6 yrs old and loves to sit on her perch and look out the window. She would love to be an only cat. She has lived with 3 other cats, but she preferred to be the queen. She gets along with and has lived with many dogs. She is strictly a house cat, likes looking out the windows and cat napping. She enjoys her tower scratching post, dry and canned food, toys and treats. She's a lovely kitty and very beautiful! If interested in adopting please complete the application at http://saveadog.org/available_cats.asp and download the CAT application. Email it to adoptions@saveadog.org and we will send you the next steps. Available 5/20/24.

Supporters and Recurring Giving Donors will be put on our VIP Application List &#226&#128&#139 Adoption Costs and other important information. If you are interested in adopting from Sterling Animal Shelter, please submit an application through our "Pets for Adoption" page.  We are currently open by appointment only Tuesday through Friday, and have Open Hours on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.  Our appointments are scheduled by matching our applications to our available pets. If your application is chosen, our staff will contact you to set an appointment for a meet and greet to spend some time with the animal one-on-one. We do still have same day adoptions, and if your meet is successful, you can take your pet home at the time of your appointment.  To find the best match for each pet, we prefer to have the entire family present when doing an adoption. If you have a dog at home already, please be prepared to bring your resident dog to meet a potential new dog, to ensure all parties get along. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet. Adoption Costs and other important information. Supporters and Recurring Giving Donors will be put on our VIP Application List &#226&#128&#139 May 4, 2024, 4:16 pm

Hello...I have decided that it is on Menna's best interest to find her a stable home. I had fallen into financial issues and had to move on a boat. I tried to make Menna a boat kitty but she is not comfortable in that type of environment causing her stress. She has been staying at my mom's for the end of the winter. I would love to find her a stable home to live out her old lady years. She is sweet once she is comfortable but it may take a little time. Thanks so much.

Story
Hello, I'm Buster, your future confidante. You see, I've been known to be a one-human cat. My last human? Well, they decided to join a rock band. You'd think they'd take me along, right? No, the drummer was allergic. So, here I am, stuck at this shelter while they're probably out there, off-key and all. Not a fan of other pets, they're too noisy. And loud noises? They're for the birds! Or dogs. Definitely not for sophisticated felines like myself. I'm the perfect companion for a quiet home, where I can offer my undivided loyalty and playful cuddles. Adopt me, and I promise to make our home a rock-band-free zone!Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally. April 30, 2024, 4:06 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Martin, your potential new best friend! I'm a smart, mellow fellow who loves to play and interact. I can solve puzzles, chase toys, and I'm always up for a good cuddle. My friendly nature makes me a joy to be around. I'm sweet and gentle, always ready to show my love with a soft purr or a gentle nudge. I may be a tabby, but my personality is as vibrant as a rainbow. I'm a stray who's found his way to a shelter, but I'm ready to find my forever home. Why should you adopt me? I'm not just a cat, I'm a companion. I'm the playful, loving friend you didn't know you needed. I promise to fill your life with laughter, joy, and unconditional love. Adopt me, and let's start our beautiful journey together.
