Story
Hello, I'm Buster, your future confidante. You see, I've been known to be a one-human cat. My last human? Well, they decided to join a rock band. You'd think they'd take me along, right? No, the drummer was allergic. So, here I am, stuck at this shelter while they're probably out there, off-key and all. Not a fan of other pets, they're too noisy. And loud noises? They're for the birds! Or dogs. Definitely not for sophisticated felines like myself. I'm the perfect companion for a quiet home, where I can offer my undivided loyalty and playful cuddles. Adopt me, and I promise to make our home a rock-band-free zone!Every PALS cat and kitten has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and is up-to-date on vaccinations. A note about kittens: if you are adopting a kitten, they may need to complete their FVRCP (distemper) series and may not be old enough for their rabies vaccination. These essential vaccines will be the responsibility of their new owner. Detailed vet records and a calendar of vaccination due dates will be provided. The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) BY APPOINTMENT ONLY TO APPROVED ADOPTERS.  Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org.  A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.  You will be contacted by our adoption staff once your application has been approved.  Please note it can take up to 48 hours. Our online sites are updated regularly, but we can not guarantee that a cat you see here is still available. Please email if you have any questions regarding the adoption process or our available cats and kittens. PALS is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue group. Each and every cat and kitten has been rescued locally. April 30, 2024, 4:06 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Martin, your potential new best friend! I'm a smart, mellow fellow who loves to play and interact. I can solve puzzles, chase toys, and I'm always up for a good cuddle. My friendly nature makes me a joy to be around. I'm sweet and gentle, always ready to show my love with a soft purr or a gentle nudge. I may be a tabby, but my personality is as vibrant as a rainbow. I'm a stray who's found his way to a shelter, but I'm ready to find my forever home. Why should you adopt me? I'm not just a cat, I'm a companion. I'm the playful, loving friend you didn't know you needed. I promise to fill your life with laughter, joy, and unconditional love. Adopt me, and let's start our beautiful journey together. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Karina was living in a DPW parking lot. This poor baby had three litters of kittens outside, before PAWS could rescue her. She's extremely shy, but now, after a year, enjoys sitting near her loving foster mom, when she works from home. That's encouraging progress! Her best home will be with an experienced cat owner in a quiet home without other pets or children.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We are Bailey and Remy two huge bonded tuxedo boys of 10 who must be adopted together. We were surrendered when our owner's health started to decline. We are the friendliest easiest going pair of pals you could hope to find. We are residing at the Kitty Cat Cafe (https://www.kittycatcafema.com/). We will greet you at the door and luxuriate in all the pampering and attention we get here. We just lay on the cat tower and people line up to give us kitty massages. Please note we have been diabetic for several years and need to get insulin twice a day at set times. Our glucose levels have been stable and now we are focusing on our weight reduction plan. We both started out around 20 pounds so there is work to be done! We're pretty low key so kitty calisthenics hasn't been a key approach. A managed diet is helping. We are just a super pair of guys.

Story
Introducing Muggle, a lively and affectionate guy just under a year old. Originally slated to be a sidekick, I've outgrown those britches and am ready to be the solo star of your home. Affectionate and a tad wild, I'm up for solo play or teaming up with you to play fetch with my favorite toy mice. After a whirlwind of fun, I'll curl up for some one-on-one snuggle time. Although I am very sweet, I am best suited for a home with an experienced cat owner who is around a lot and who has no other pets and no young children.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mr. Business is an energetic and curious 2yo cat who loves to play with the cat dancer and other interactive cat toys. He is not a lap cat, but enjoys affection during his calmer moments. When done playing, he will sleep peacefully or just relax, often seeming to enjoy having humans nearby. He will often rest at the top of a cat tree; in general he loves to climb and explore, so will likely need some redirection away from non-cat approved areas. He should be a solo cat in a family with some cat experience and no small children.
