Story
We are unfortunately rehoming our sweet indoor cat due to a possible allergy in our new baby. She’s a little over 2 years old, healthy, playful, vocal, and snuggly once she warms up. Loves windows, toys, and doing her own thing. She’s been good with kids, the baby and was fine with our dog after a slow intro — they now coexist peacefully. Only hissed once ever (during that first intro). Not sure how she is with other cats. She came to us overweight but is now at a healthy weight with a timed feeder (auto feature stopped, but it still dispenses with a button). She loves food and would do best in a home that doesn’t leave food out and can stick to set mealtimes. She has never tried to dart outside to runaway. Comes with litter box, cat tree, toys, and feeder. Looking for a loving home where she’ll be safe and cared for. 💜 I'm not sure of her breed but the site required that I choose one so I selected Calico because of her torty spots.

Story
Kitty and Cat are the very best of friends. They are two beautiful, gentle souls who have shared their lives in perfect harmony. They play together, nap side by side, and show their deep affection for one another and their people every single day. These affectionate girls are currently facing a heartbreaking change. Their beloved owner has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has only a few short months left. Her deepest wish is to find a safe, quiet, and loving home where her precious girls can continue to be cherished. MI Kitty is a devoted companion. Once she bonds with you, she’ll follow you from room to room, always wanting to be involved in whatever you’re doing. She’s a chatty girl who loves to talk and will bump her head against yours for kisses. On cool nights, she’ll curl up on your chest for warmth and love. Her favorite pastimes include chasing her feather wand toy and sipping water in the most endearing way, by delicately dipping her paw into her water bowl. Cat is a calm and affectionate beauty with a stunning calico coat. She seeks out gentle affection, softly rubbing against you to say hello. She enjoys lounging by her people, playing with toys, and keeping an eye on the household from her favorite perch on the cat tree. Cat especially loves watching "Cat TV" on YouTube. Chirping birds and swimming goldfish are her favorites! Kitty and Cat are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They will thrive in a quiet, loving home where they can continue to share their days with kind hearted humans who will honor the love they had with their original owner. If you have space in your heart and home for these two sweet girls, you won’t just be giving them a safe place, you’ll be fulfilling a final wish made out of pure love. Story
Hi there! I’m Kit Kat, your soon-to-be favorite cuddle buddy. Let me tell you a little about myself: I’m a year and a half old, rescued from a colony in Detroit, and my look is on point—I’m a torbie beauty with orange, brown, and white fur and the dreamiest light green eyes. I’m the total package: affectionate, loving, and—shhh—just a teensy bit quiet…except when I get excited, then I trill and chirp like a little songbird! Don’t let my calm demeanor fool you, though. I still love to play! Wand toys are my jam, and I’ve got a soft spot for catnip (I mean, who doesn’t?). After a little romp, I’m all about the cozy vibes. Sunbathing in a warm window, napping in a comfy spot, and soaking up some quality lap time—yes, please! I’ll happily curl up on you while you lounge, read a book, or even work from home. I’m all about that personal VIP service. I’ll be honest: I’m a bit shy at first with new people, but give me a little bit of time and you’ll see just how much I adore being close to my human. Once I know you, I’ll greet you with purrs, gentle head nudges, and the occasional belly-rub invitation. I love being held and carried around—it’s like my own personal human elevator! As for roommates, I do get along with other kitties but I think I really prefer to be your one-and-only kitty superstar. Dogs or very young kids might be a bit too much for me, but older, calm, and gentle kiddos could be fine. I’m looking for a peaceful, quiet home where I can watch birds from the window and occasionally perch up high to keep an eye on my surroundings. If you’re ready for a loyal, lovable companion who will warm your lap, charm you with trills, and fill your home with cozy purrs, then I think we’re meant to be. Give me a chance, and I’ll show you just how sweet life can be when you share it with me, Kit Kat! Fill out an application to meet this sweet girl : https://form.jotform.com/242015163806045 Kit Kat is 1-2 years old. Her adoption fee is $150. The adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, FIV/FeLV testing, microchip and basic wellness care such as deworming & flea treatment.

Story
I found Basil on my porch in January of this year. I have spent 5 months earning his trust and I brought him indoors the 1st week of June. I did not trap and take him to a shelter because I thought he was potentially feral, but now I think he was abandoned, as he has very easily acclimated to indoor living! I am very attached to him, but I already have 2 cats and do not have the time or money for a 3rd. I am looking for someone who wants an affectionate, confident, and energetic cat with so much love to give!

Story
Travis is such a great boy. He has a little hard luck by no fault of his own. He was initially adopted as a 12 week old kitten. He was returned about 7 months later. His former adopters said he hid all the time. He has not had any issues back at his foster home. Travis is very lovable and loves attention. He was adopted several months later but was returned again. While the adopter didn't have any issues with him, in fact she said he was very loving, her older cat didn't want another kitty around. Travis does great in his foster home. He is a little shy when he first gets to know you but he gets along with all the other kitties, especially Gunther. Travis has had all of his initial vetting, including neuter, combo-testing and his initial vaccines but would need to have his vaccines updated. Hence the discounted price. He would very much like a forever home of his own. Thank-you for taking the time to read Travis' story. If you are interested in adopting him, please go to our website, pohrescue.com, and fill out an application. Someone will get back to you asap.
