Story
Kitty and Cat are the very best of friends. They are two beautiful, gentle souls who have shared their lives in perfect harmony. They play together, nap side by side, and show their deep affection for one another and their people every single day. These affectionate girls are currently facing a heartbreaking change. Their beloved owner has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and has only a few short months left. Her deepest wish is to find a safe, quiet, and loving home where her precious girls can continue to be cherished. MI Kitty is a devoted companion. Once she bonds with you, she’ll follow you from room to room, always wanting to be involved in whatever you’re doing. She’s a chatty girl who loves to talk and will bump her head against yours for kisses. On cool nights, she’ll curl up on your chest for warmth and love. Her favorite pastimes include chasing her feather wand toy and sipping water in the most endearing way, by delicately dipping her paw into her water bowl. Cat is a calm and affectionate beauty with a stunning calico coat. She seeks out gentle affection, softly rubbing against you to say hello. She enjoys lounging by her people, playing with toys, and keeping an eye on the household from her favorite perch on the cat tree. Cat especially loves watching "Cat TV" on YouTube. Chirping birds and swimming goldfish are her favorites! Kitty and Cat are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They will thrive in a quiet, loving home where they can continue to share their days with kind hearted humans who will honor the love they had with their original owner. If you have space in your heart and home for these two sweet girls, you won’t just be giving them a safe place, you’ll be fulfilling a final wish made out of pure love. Kitty and Cat: -are up to date on vaccines -microchipped and spayed -tested negative for FEL/FIV -prefer mature children only -currently live with a small dog Adoption Fees are: $150+$150 ($300) All Adoption Fees go toward providing medical and wellness care for all rescued animals under the loving care of Heavenly Paws. Story
Emmy is a beautiful muted calico. She’s mostly white with grey and orange on her. She is spaded and up-to-date on shots. She is 10 years old. She’s very loving gets over stimulated easy and will nibble loves to play. She eats hard food her favorite is Friskies seafood sensations, but enjoys treats and one can of soft food a day she belongs to my 80-year-old father. The only reason we are getting rid of her is because of my father‘s health, he can no longer take care of her. And he is relocating to Texas with me. I have my own senior cat he’s 14. I also have a large breed dog who she gets along with both. She just doesn’t like pushy dogs who wanna be up in her face. She’s around children. My grandchildren are ages 10, 9, and 8. She’s located in Dewitt Michigan. Her fee is $50 to assure a safe and healthy home. She also loves watching TV.😂

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Hello! I am stage 5 cuddler Frankiebean! Friendly social kitty who previously lived with 5 males, so I would really like a home to call my own now! I absolutely love being held and playing with a laser light or cat toy. If you are looking for your perfect companion, look no further! I’d love to become a part of your family. Spayed & UTD on shots. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. January 27, 2026, 8:54 am

Story
Lolita and Bodhi are a bonded pair and will be adopted together  Lolita is a calico through and through—full of personality, opinions, and charm. She’s delightfully sassy and chatty, often sharing her thoughts from the highest perch in the house, where she can keep a watchful eye on everything below. Lolita likes to do things on her own terms, and while she’s not always a lap cat, she does have a softer side she saves for quiet moments when she feels extra safe (we suspect she might just be a little bashful about it). She’s a master of hide-and-seek, and you’ll often spot just the tip of her tail peeking out from under the couch or hear mysterious clanks and adventures happening in the basement. Lolita has a gentle, caring heart, especially when it comes to Bodhi—she’ll curl up with him and seems to understand when he’s not feeling his best. Though she used to play tag with him more often, these days she shows her love in calmer, more tender ways. Lolita would thrive in a home that appreciates her independent spirit, her quiet affection, and the special bond she forms with those she trusts. ##2188605##

Story
Travis is such a great boy. He has a little hard luck by no fault of his own. He was initially adopted as a 12 week old kitten. He was returned about 7 months later. His former adopters said he hid all the time. He has not had any issues back at his foster home. Travis is very lovable and loves attention. He was adopted several months later but was returned again. While the adopter didn't have any issues with him, in fact she said he was very loving, her older cat didn't want another kitty around. Travis does great in his foster home. He is a little shy when he first gets to know you but he gets along with all the other kitties, especially Gunther. Travis has had all of his initial vetting, including neuter, combo-testing and his initial vaccines but would need to have his vaccines updated. Hence the discounted price. He would very much like a forever home of his own. Thank-you for taking the time to read Travis' story. If you are interested in adopting him, please go to our website, pohrescue.com, and fill out an application. Someone will get back to you asap.

Story
Raven is a survivor. On a dark, very cold morning, while my husband was on his way to work, she came running out of the ditch when he stopped at a stop sign. My husband got out of the truck and she ran right up to him. She couldn't have been more than 4 weeks but she knew what she was doing. She has a best friend, Sterling, and plays with him almost non-stop. She's super playful and super sweet. A little mischievous as well. Raven has been spayed, micro-chipped, combo-tested and received all her age-appropriate vaccines. She very much wants a forever family along with her buddy Sterling. We do discount pairs. If you're interested in Raven, please go to our website, pohrescue.com, and fill out an application and someone will get back to you asap.
