You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. My name is Charlotte.  I am a beautiful one-year old calico who is super friendly, loves people and loves to snuggle.  I love attention and lots of head scratches.  I was rescued with my 3 babies and am settling into my new foster home.  I will be UTD on all my shots, spayed and microchipped very soon.  I would love to meet you!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. August 15, 2026, 9:11 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Frida is a sweet little girl who raised six kittens on her own.  She is unbelievably sweet and trusting.  She always would let you handle her kittens without any concern or stress.  She plays a little.  But at this state in her life she loves to be pampered.  She greets you at the door with a sweet hello meow, and she will happily purr and even fall asleep in your lap if you let her.  Again, just a little sweetheart of a girl.     Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue requires a Spay/Neuter Contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization at the time of adoption. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. HDDCR holds a deposit [$50 for dogs, $25 for cats] in addition to the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog or cat was spayed/neutered by the date stipulated on the Spay/Neuter Contract. The deposit will be refunded to the adopter if spay/neuter was done according to the Spay/Neuter Contract signed by the adopter. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee, paid at the time of adoption.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Hello! If you are looking for a very independent and playful senior cat, Catti Labelle is the one. She’s between 10 - 12 years old. When I adopted her from the Michigan Humane Society back in 2017, her age was unknown but estimated between 2 - 3 years old. Catti does not like to be picked up but she will come to you, sit next to you, even sit in your lap or lay on your chest but you can’t force her or make too many movements while she’s getting comfortable to sit. She loves the cat chase toys with feathers, string, etc. she likes the little balls with the small bell inside as well. She does not like dogs but she will tolerate them, just give her a couple months then she will be grooming and napping with them. Catti loves to roam and even likes to go outside to lay in the grass and she will bring you gifts; she’s an experienced hunter. Loves wet food mixed with her dry food. Catti does like leather furniture so it’s best if you cover your couches or have a cloth pet friendly couch.
