Story
She weaves in and out of your legs spinning a tale that could fill a diary. She's a happy girl who runs up to greet you  when you come home. While kittens are oodles of fun, there is a special pleasure in adopting a young cat who still has her youthful energy but whose personality is bit more developed!  Named after the young adult diary book, Go Ask Alice!, this literary cat gave birth to an adorable kitten litter of banned books and now deserves a loving home of her own.  Like the troubled runaway teen in Go Ask Alice!,  this beautiful calico kitty has been on a perilous journey in the outside world, and is now ready to be safe in her forever home.   She's surprisingly playful and a purrfect calico  just needs an experienced household  Young mamas sometimes lose their sense of their own body sometimes, and they get confused by affection. Alice will sometimes put her mouth on you when she's frustrated or when she's over stimulated (she doesn't like her backend petted), which may scare a child or someone not familiar with cat behavior. She never bites down and will stop when told but it is something to be mindful of; she just communicates with her teeth.   You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV.  They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment.  All litter trained of course. And we pre-register the microchip which will automatically transfer to you at adoption keeping us as secondary contact. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet. If you haven't had a chance, please also check out our public facebook page:   https://www.facebook.com/SophiaLOrangeKittenRescue/ Not only will it show you more pictures of our kitties, but also should give you a good idea about who we are as an organization, as fosters, and how our followers and adopters feel about us.  We do take time to get through the adoption process, but want you to feel comfortable that this means we are trying to do what's best for everyone.  We try to post daily about most of our rescue's kitties to share our adventures fostering with you, even if they aren't available for adoption yet; but also to show their personalities as best we can. We hope that by following along, you get to see how we rescue and foster, and how they flourish in care. We thank you all for all your care. There are a lot of wonderful kitties out there just waiting to be loved by someone special. And while we are a small rescue, we would love to help you find the right one for yours.  You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. We include on our website details on how to prepare for a home visit, how to get ready for a new kitten, some useful guidance for introductions and reminders about taking time everyone needs.  ##1827905##

Story
“Kiki’s Delivery Service," a beloved anime movie, follows the journey of a girl finding her place in the world, aided by a beloved talking cat. Similarly, the kittens of Kiki’s Delivery Service are on a quest to find their special place in the world, and with your help, they can embark on their own magical adventures."Just like her namesake in Kiki's Delivery Service, this gorgeous calico kitty can be a little particular about who she trusts. But unlike the film's Kiki, this mama cat has already completed the last of her most important deliveries – all of the adorable Kiki’s Delivery Service kittens! Now spayed, after her hard work (we were told she had 6 litters!  prior to this last), she deserves a loving home of her own. While she might be cautious at first, Kiki’s playful affection will blossom once she knows you're here to stay. To win her over, try giving her ear scratches, which she absolutely adores! You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions   Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. Story
Precious is an outside cat who was brought inside after having a litter of kittens. In a short time she has learned to love being brushed and doesn't mind being petted. If you sit near her you can put her in your lap to pet or brush her. She is shy around new people so she'd need some time to adjust in a new home. She is OK with other cats. No dogs or small children for her at this time.

Story
Maggie is an 9 year old female domestic short haired grey cat.Maggie considers herself one of the cool kids, hanging out in high places and acting like she doesn't need your approval. She likes to play hard-to-get, but once she's decided you are as cool as she is, Maggie is happy to be your friend. She's secretly very desperate for love, and so long as her cool feline friends aren't watching, she'll sneak a pet and a head rub before running off like she doesn't need you after all! Such cat-itude! She loves staring out of windows and climbing cat trees, where she can continue to be as cool as a cat can be. Maggie would do well in a home with other cats, possibly respectful older children, and a chill-cat friendly dog.To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Linda is a 13 year old female domestic shorthaired brown tabby.Linda is an independent and feisty older girl, with a spirit of a tigress. She likes things her own way, and that way is slow and quiet, like any senior person. She would prefer to spend her time staring out of windows, prowling around under furniture, enjoying a fine dish of softened wet food, and napping someplace soft and private. Her attitude is that of a grand lady who has gracefully aged and expects to be treated with the utmost respect and reverence. Linda would prefer a home where she is the only pet and without any children, so that she might spend her glorious golden years in peace. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Jenny is a 2 year old female domestic short haired brown calico tiger.Jenny is delicate little lady who prefers time to herself and to have things exactly her own way. Imagine she is the most exacting and demur of Jane Austin's characters, who writes distantly of her affection towards you. She prefers to while away her days in windows, watching the birds, and climbing to high spaces for long cat naps. You might get the occasional slow blind of affection from across the room, if your manners are up to her high standards, however she mostly prefers other cat companions. Perhaps try inviting her to some tea and make light conversation, and see how it goes from there. Jenny must go to a home with a cat. Jenny would do best in a home with other cats, without dogs or children. To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture.
