Story
Precious is an outside cat who was brought inside after having a litter of kittens. In a short time she has learned to love being brushed and doesn't mind being petted. If you sit near her you can put her in your lap to pet or brush her. She is shy around new people so she'd need some time to adjust in a new home. She is OK with other cats. No dogs or small children for her at this time.

Story
She weaves in and out of your legs spinning a tale that could fill a diary. She's a happy girl who runs up to greet you  when you come home. While kittens are oodles of fun, there is a special pleasure in adopting a young cat who still has her youthful energy but whose personality is bit more developed!  Named after the young adult diary book, Go Ask Alice!, this literary cat gave birth to an adorable kitten litter of banned books and now deserves a loving home of her own.  Like the troubled runaway teen in Go Ask Alice!,  this beautiful calico kitty has been on a perilous journey in the outside world, and is now ready to be safe in her forever home.   She's surprisingly playful and a purrfect calico  just needs an experienced household  Young mamas sometimes lose their sense of their own body sometimes, and they get confused by affection. Alice will sometimes put her mouth on you when she's frustrated or when she's over stimulated (she doesn't like her backend petted), which may scare a child or someone not familiar with cat behavior. She never bites down and will stop when told but it is something to be mindful of; she just communicates with her teeth.   You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV.  They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment.  All litter trained of course. And we pre-register the microchip which will automatically transfer to you at adoption keeping us as secondary contact. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet. If you haven't had a chance, please also check out our public facebook page:   https://www.facebook.com/SophiaLOrangeKittenRescue/ Not only will it show you more pictures of our kitties, but also should give you a good idea about who we are as an organization, as fosters, and how our followers and adopters feel about us.  We do take time to get through the adoption process, but want you to feel comfortable that this means we are trying to do what's best for everyone.  We try to post daily about most of our rescue's kitties to share our adventures fostering with you, even if they aren't available for adoption yet; but also to show their personalities as best we can. We hope that by following along, you get to see how we rescue and foster, and how they flourish in care. We thank you all for all your care. There are a lot of wonderful kitties out there just waiting to be loved by someone special. And while we are a small rescue, we would love to help you find the right one for yours.  You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. We include on our website details on how to prepare for a home visit, how to get ready for a new kitten, some useful guidance for introductions and reminders about taking time everyone needs.  ##1827905##

Story
“Kiki’s Delivery Service," a beloved anime movie, follows the journey of a girl finding her place in the world, aided by a beloved talking cat. Similarly, the kittens of Kiki’s Delivery Service are on a quest to find their special place in the world, and with your help, they can embark on their own magical adventures."Just like her namesake in Kiki's Delivery Service, this gorgeous calico kitty can be a little particular about who she trusts. But unlike the film's Kiki, this mama cat has already completed the last of her most important deliveries – all of the adorable Kiki’s Delivery Service kittens! Now spayed, after her hard work (we were told she had 6 litters!  prior to this last), she deserves a loving home of her own. While she might be cautious at first, Kiki’s playful affection will blossom once she knows you're here to stay. To win her over, try giving her ear scratches, which she absolutely adores! You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions   Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. Story
Hi my name is Harley.  I am a very sweet girl.  It takes me a little while to trust you but I am loving little thing from the very start,  I am a dainty girl and I don't like to be treated rough at all.  I stay our of the fray when the boys are playing.  I am usually on the sidelines watching or playing with Dart.  While we have totally different personalities.  I am the dainty one and Dart is the rambunctious one.  We would absolutely love to be adopted together.  I am always looking for him and he looks out for m.  I am great with all the 4 legged creatures here and I love my foster mom!  She took such good care of me when I was abandoned as a tiny baby.   To be considered for my forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Dart is actually in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)April 18, 2024, 7:05 pm

Story
🌼DIABETIC DELIGHT🌼🐾 Meet Mama 🌸 a little special needs lady looking for a forever family to keep her on track to the best years of her life.Mama is about 9 years old & has been recently diagnosed with diabetes. She has handled her new protocol at life very well and is adapting and feeling so much better now that she is being regulated.Diabetes sounds like a scary thing but let us tell you why it's not & how easy it is to care for a special needs girl like mama!Every 12 hours she is given insulin by injection, with an extremely small needle 💉, she is fed pate wet food only, her water intake and attitude is monitored to make sure she is "feeling herself" & that's really it. She will always need regular vet visits with blood work and continued care but that is what every kitty should have!Mama is looking for a foster to adopt or a foster to get back into a home of a regular house cat. If you are not experienced but want to learn, we will teach you! The little extra work this girl requires will absolutely be repaid in her charming, sweet and gentle souled personality. This girl is a true gem 💎 & deserves nothing but the best!If interested in learning more about mama, diabetes in cats or or the care she requires please feel free to email us at hvars.adoptions@gmail.com or submit an application at HVARS.org*even if interested in only fostering, an application does need to be submitted* Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: Calico Weight: 9.5625 Age: 10yrs 8mths 2wks
