Precious is an outside cat who was brought inside after having a litter of kittens. In a short time she has learned to love being brushed and doesn't mind being petted. If you sit near her you can put her in your lap to pet or brush her. She is shy around new people so she'd need some time to adjust in a new home. She is OK with other cats​. No dogs or small children for her at this time.

Philomenia loves humans and will shower you with affection. She loves to wind in and out of your legs..  Philomenia also enjoys having a human companion to watch her eat (it's a perfect meal mate date, but you have to cover the bill).  She loves to play with toys and will sit beside you for a short time—just make sure not to rub her flanks. At 16 years young, Ambrosia, a stunning calico, and Pepper, a sleek black beauty, came to us after their beloved owner moved into assisted living and heartbreakingly couldn’t take them along. These girls have been together their entire lives, and that bond is everything. Ambrosia is the queen and she absolutely knows it. She’s friendly, confident, and very vocal about what she wants—mostly pets, attention, and admiration. She boldly explores her surroundings and will happily remind you if you’ve stopped petting her for too long. Pepper, her sister, is the quieter half of the duo. She’s a bit shy at first and prefers to take things at her own pace, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into an incredibly affectionate companion. She’s a wonderful purrer and offers calm, gentle company that’s perfect for a peaceful home. These two must be adopted together—they’ve shared sixteen years side by side and truly rely on one another. Ambrosia can be a bit of a boss around other kitties to everyone except Pepper, so they’d do best in a home without other cats. They haven’t had experience with dogs. Totally gorgeous TABBY! With her piercing green eyes and beautiful stripes, she’s definitely a pretty cat. And her whiskers are impressive! TABBY is a gentle girl and curious girl. She wants to see what you’re up to, but prefers to get to know you from afar. After an hour or so she often decides you’ve passed her test and will let you meet her properly. Once you’re friends, she’ll arch her back and ask for pets. TABBY has some good kitty friends that she likes to snuggle with, so she could be a good option for a household that already has cats. She was born in 2016. TABBY is a shier cat, so she will need a patient and thoughtful introduction to your home, but it will be so worth it! Since TABBY takes some time to build trust with new people, we know she might not show as well to potential adopters. ARF volunteers are happy to talk to you about her and can even share videos of affectionate behavior you may not see when you visit.

NIKO is a bigggg 8-year-old boy who loves attention and will roll around on his back for ear scritches. We think he likes to keep his eyes as wide open as possible so you can gaze upon his striking green eyes at ALL times. The volunteers LOVE this charming chunk and he always makes us lots of biscuits. He’s a goofball who likes to play and will stand up on his back legs like a human to bop a toy. NIKO also insists on sprawling on the floor in the funniest positions, with curled paws or legs stuck up in the air. He would like to be your only cat in a home with no small children. Come and meet this big smush! We know he will make someone so happy!

This curious girl is cute as a button and has a lovely, little white locket on her chest. We can often find MAGGIE snoozing on the window seat looking extra pretty. We think she has the softest fur of any kitty we’ve ever known. It’s silky smooth and she likes pets once she’s gotten to know you. MAGGIE likes to hang out with other kitties and though she’ll run up with the kitty welcome committee to say hello to her favorite people, she tends to be skittish with new people, but warms up after a few visits. She would be a great addition to a home that already has kitties and for someone who is looking for a quiet, sweet girl. She was born in 2015. Since Maggie hides when potential adopters visit, even though she's had many visitors, she's never found her forever home. Maggie was adopted once and returned because they felt she wasn’t adjusting quickly enough, despite not following our advice to ease her transition to a new place. She will need a thoughtful and patient transition to your home to flourish. We know if you give her a chance, she'll be a wonderful addition to your family!
