MAY is a special cat that needs a special adopter. Found in the Ingles’ parking lot and brought to the SCHS when she was only about two weeks old, she was very sick. Her left eye remains cloudy and she sometimes has a bout of URI that's cleared with antibiotics. We wish we knew what May had experienced before coming to us. She is an energetic girl that plays rough (and when you least expect it); she cannot go to a home with small children for this reason. She wants affection only when she initiates it. She really could use other cats in the home, but they have to be able to tolerate her outbursts. She is currently in foster care and her very-experienced foster mom can share even more information about her. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. These are 5 rescued kittens about 7 to 8 weeks old. All are very sweet and good with kids. They were rescued from a building after the momma could not take care of them anymore . Had 1 st shots and dewormed and cleared of parasites . Hey, how are you doing? Would love if they could be adopted in pairs but they will be great fur family members.

Biscuits is a dilute calico that was adopted from The Humane Society and is approximately 7 years old. She was born without back feet but can walk and jump on her nubbins. She is gentle with humans and kids and likes being pet on her head and back only. She will playfully grab you if you go for her belly. She prefers to live without other animals, although she currently lives with another cat and a dog. She will sometimes get annoyed at them at swipe her claws at them but has never hurt the other animals. She loves being in the same room with her human and will nuzzle to be petted. She loves treats and food. She has a special need of food that helps her with a kidney issue. The veterinarian noticed signs of kidney stones and she has been on the special food for a couple years with no issues.

07-20-24 Princess is a 2 yr old kitty that was saved from a Citgo gas station. She was living a barn life with indoor/outdoor access and was attacked by a coyote. It was touch and go at the vet for 10 days, but Princess rallied and made it through. Prior to the attack she was semi-feral, but during her recovery she learned to love her caretaker and now wants nothing more than to be a beloved lap kitty. She is a bit wobbly from neurological aftereffects, but requires no extra care and needs no continual or additional treatment. She is still able to climb and jump, though a little less gracefully than before. Since she now loves her person so much we would like to find her a permanent home where she can get that love and attention she now wants. She loves other cats and a home with another cat would probably be an easier transition for her. We need someone that will give her time and patience to acclimate to a new situation. That person will be rewarded by having a wonderful, loving companion. She is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV. Princess is considered a Tabico.
