Story
We found her on the street as a kitten, covered in flees and eyes bulging out of her head, so we took her to the vet, got her dewormed vaccinated, and cleaned her from flees. After we made a date to get her eyes removed since they weren’t able to be fixed, her surgery was successful and she is now blind, but she is so lively and fun and can find her way around a home, she is litter trained and we are looking for someone who is dedicated and very serious about her and can give her the attention she deserves, she is funny, smart, and very playful. She doesnt let being blind stop her from being any less than other cats! She is around 6-8 months and we are more than willing to get her spayed if needed. But she does need to be strictly indoors. Owners will be chosen wisely.

Story
Hi everyone! Unfortunately I am having to rehome my sweet baby, Sol. She is around 2.5 years old and full of personality! She loves to play, in particular with a wand and feathers attached to the end. She loves to bake in the sun, sleep and cuddle (at her own accord) and talk! A very vocal kitty. I will say she has a lot of anxiety and stress when I leave which is another reason why I am having to rehome her because my new job will require me to be there more often. I need someone who is experienced and home often to give her the proper love and attention to keep her anxiety at bay. I believe she would thrive without any other cats. She hasbeen around dogs and as long as they are calm, she is okay until she initiates playtime. If you have any questions, please let me know! She will come with the full setup, litter box, cat tree, abundance of toys and more!

Story
Patches is 6 years old, I got her from a friend in high school to be an outdoor cat, however here recently that has had to change due to her being diagnosed as a pre-diabetic earlier this year. She keeps to herself a lot but will let you know when she wants attention she has always been this way. Patches does have to be on a lower carb food. She is allowed to have treats but only a few per day. She is not on a prescription for insulin as long as her blood sugar is under control. I am looking for someone who has had experience with cats and knows when something is up and can take her to the vet when needed. Patches is very timid and shy but she will voice when it’s time to eat.

Story
MAY is a special cat that needs a special adopter. Found in the Ingles’ parking lot and brought to the SCHS when she was only about two weeks old, she was very sick. Her left eye remains cloudy and she sometimes has a bout of URI that's cleared with antibiotics. We wish we knew what May had experienced before coming to us. She is an energetic girl that plays rough (and when you least expect it); she cannot go to a home with small children for this reason. She wants affection only when she initiates it. She really could use other cats in the home, but they have to be able to tolerate her outbursts. She is currently in foster care and her very-experienced foster mom can share even more information about her. The standard adoption fee is $120 cash or $125 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. Please submit an adoption application through stanlycountyhumanesociety.org for consideration. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats. Thanks for considering adopting a rescue pet! Adoption fees for pets with Stanly County Humane Society are to cover the following: *Spay/Neuter *Heartworm/Feline Testing *All standard vaccinations *Rabies Vaccination *Microchip  January 5, 2026, 5:56 pm

Story
Glinda came in as a tiny girl who had to be bottle fed by her foster. Bottle fed babies are held a lot and as a result are more snuggly. She is a very sweet and gorgeous Calico. She may be a beauty queen but she can hold her own with her foster brother, Gunnar. She goes to work with her foster mom and LOVES the attention and snuggles she gets from everyone. She loves to play and really loves her foster brother, Gunnar. She will get along great with someone who has another cat who will match her energy.  She loves to run and wrestle with Gunnar. She would love to be adoped with him. ##2581144##

Story
Tatum is a sweet young girl, almost 2 years old, who is easy going and social.  She is compatible with non aggressive cats. She loves attention and petting. Tatum may have hyperesthesia which is sometimes diagnosed by the symptom of a rippling effect down her back and a sudden quirky outburst of playfullness. Around 8 pounds, Tatum is a sturdy feline with a gaentle demeanor.   Her coat is pristine white with dilute grey and orange on the tail and head similar to a turkshish van.   Tatum  will be celebtrating her second birthday in December 2025 and wants to be in her own home for the holidays.  Age appropriate vaccs, spayed, microchiopped, and rabies vaccinations are completed. She is a perfect fit for most any family. Good to know, she has been around dogs and was fine but a gentle introduction is always the way to go with both cats and dogs. Please complete the application on this site or go to Linktr.ee/ncfnrescue. ##1958455##

Story
Graylynn was a barn cat who belonged to my family member who passed away in June. Graylynn is the tender one that gets chased and picked on by other cats. I could not get near her until she had an injured foot. That day she allowed me to put her in a carrier and take her home with me. Fortunately, it was only a sprain. She has graduated from the screened porch to the house and is interacting with my cats. She took to the litterbox very easily-- and has never "missed." She is not a fussy eater. She is somewhat shy, though friendly and receptive. Imagine coming home to those enchanting green eyes every day. ❤️
