Story
Neytiri is a stunning young calico whose beauty runs far deeper than her brilliant patchwork coat. Weighing just 7 pounds, she carries herself with the grace of a feline queen and the quiet wisdom of an old soul. Her gentle nature has a way of soothing those around her—be they human or fellow feline. Recently, Neytiri stepped into motherhood for the very first time, embracing it with extraordinary love and grace. She’s been a fiercely attentive mama: calm, nurturing, and endlessly patient. Watching her care for her kittens is a moving testament to the strength and tenderness that defines her. But motherhood hasn’t dulled her playful spirit. Neytiri still delights in the simple joys of life—chasing after a ribbon, curling up in a sunbeam, or gently nudging her favorite toy across the floor. She’s affectionate without being demanding, wise yet curious, and always quietly attuned to the world around her.   Whether she’s snuggled beside you or softly purring from across the room, Neytiri has a way of bringing peace, comfort, and a little extra magic wherever she goes. She’s not just a cat—she’s a companion, a nurturer, and a soulful presence ready to make a house feel like home. ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
Meet Princess Cali, a breathtaking 3-year-old longhair Calico whose story is one of true resilience and love. Cali came from a heartbreaking situation—living outdoors among more than 40 stray cats on a small rural farm. Whether born there or simply surviving there, life was never easy. When Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to help, Cali was one of the lucky ones who got her second chance. She arrived with a severe eye infection that required surgery to remove her damaged eye, but she hasn’t let that slow her down one bit. Once a feral cat who had never known human affection, Princess Cali has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate, and trusting companion thanks to her patient foster mom. She now enjoys being held for longer periods and has learned that cuddles are wonderful. Her favorite gesture of affection? Sweet little kisses to let you know she’s grateful and happy. Cali is amazing with other animals and loves playing with the cats and dogs in her foster home. She’s learning what it means to be safe, loved, and cherished—and she’s ready to continue that journey with a forever family who will help her confidence grow even more. If you’re ready to be part of this beautiful transformation and give Princess Cali her happily ever after, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com for an adoption form. You’ll be rewarded with a lifetime of gratitude, love, and purrs from this brave little survivor.October 31, 2025, 11:45 pm

Story
Charlene was discovered at an abandoned restaurant with a collar severely embedded under her arm. After undergoing two surgeries, she has fully recovered. From the very beginning, she showed her rescue foster how thankful she was. However, Charlene has experienced trauma during her time on the streets, and as a result, she needs to be the only cat in the household. She may be a one-person cat, showing a preference for trusting females more than males. Due to her past experiences, she may often greet strangers with a hiss. However, if she chooses you as her person, she becomes truly affectionate, loving to curl up in your lap or snuggle with you in bed. Charlene is very food motivated but requires a special limited ingredient diet. She is estimated to be 3-5 years old and still enjoys playing with wand toys, as well as mice, balls, and springs. Don't forget to provide her with scratching posts and condos that she loves. Charlene is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, FIV negative, and microchipped. She will need an experienced cat adopter who has no children or other pets. If you'd like to be considered for her forever family and request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. An approved application and adoption fee are required. (Charlene is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)June 19, 2025, 4:52 pm

Story
Bust body Dottie is what we call her. Dottie was found by an independent rescuer who feeds stray cat colonies around the Charlotte area. She noticed Dottie had a head tilt & over time it seemed to get worse. Most recently, Dottie seemed disoriented & a bit wobbly. This condition no doubt would compromise her ability to run or get out of danger's way, so this caregiver pulled Dottie off the streets. She reached out for help with getting Dottie seen by a vet & that is where we stepped in. After a couple of vet visits Dottie just seemed to continue to decline, so she saw a neurologist & an MRI was performed to see if they could find a reason for her compromised coordination. Diagnosis is: "Bilateral severe otitis media/interna with intracranial extension on right side (otogenic meningoencephalitis)" - Bilateral Vestibular Disease In short, she currently had a deep infection in both inner & middle ears which has spread to the right side of her brain. The neurologist says oftentimes this can be resolved with a long course (2 months) of steroids & antibiotics, so she is on prednisolone & a different antibiotic. Her rescuer/foster mom has seen improvement so far, so we're hopeful Dottie can fully recover, although her slight head tilt may remain. Because of Dottie's specialness, we'd love to help her rescuer/foster find her a very special adopter. We're sure Dottie would prefer a quiet home with someone who maybe works from home or is home a lot. She seems to be easily intimidated by other cats & gets overstimulated, so she might do best if she could be your one & only. She may not be a lap cat ir care to be handled (this could change with time), but she likes to be near her person & she's playful & sweet on her terms. If this little spitfire seems like she'll fit right into your home, please reach out to us.

Story
Meet Toots & Jackie! Jackie is a year and a half old old & Toots is a year old. These special kitties have been brightening our days for a while now and I can't say enough about how funny, silly, goofy, and lovable they are. They have such cool personalities! Jackie will follow you around and wants to be a part of everything you're doing - she's just making sure you're okay and don't need her help with anything. She also has a lot to say and will chat you up whenever you have time to talk. Toots is a mellow cool cat. He has the loudest purr motor you've ever heard and turns into jello when napping in your lap. He frequently slides off onto the floor and just keeps sleeping wherever he lands. They play all day - wrestling, toy mouse hunting, chasing each other around, and then crash in a puddle of cuteness somewhere for a mutually decided upon nap. They are great with their litter box, polite and patient at mealtimes, use their scratching posts, and are great houseguests. Any family who gives these two a forever home will be blessed with these two! Please fill out the adoption application on our website www.hsuc.org.
