Calico kittens & cats in Worcester, Massachusetts

I came to the shelter in July as a semi-feral kitten with my sisters, Posh, Ginger, and Sassy. Thanks to lots of patience and love from the volunteers, I’m slowly learning that people can be pretty great! I’m a little shyer than my sisters, but I do welcome gentle pets once I feel safe. One of my favorite things is burrowing under cozy blankets—it’s my happy little hiding place.  I’m looking for a patient, understanding adopter who will continue working with me and give me the time I need to blossom. I’d love to go home with one of my sisters, or to a home that already has a friendly feline companion to help me feel secure. Give me patience, kindness, and a cozy blanket to burrow under, and I just might surprise you with how far I can come. If you are interested in adopting, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org.    Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.   As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.  October 28, 2026, 5:36 pm

Meet Coral - A survivor - In The New England Area Adoption Fee: $199 Adoption Application: copy & paste https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Coral is an 18-month-old dilute calico with a heartbreaking past but a hopeful future. This sweet girl was rescued from an awful situation when some very cruel boys tried to get their dogs to attack her. Thankfully, a kind person intervened, scooped her up, and brought her to safety with our rescue. Because of what she went through, Coral is understandably fearful of dogs. She would be happiest as an only pet, which makes her the perfect companion for someone who just wants one very special kitty to love. Despite her sad past, Coral’s spirit shines through. She is friendly, gentle, and warms up quickly once she feels safe. She has so much love to give and is simply waiting for the right family to give her the forever home she deserves. Coral is living proof of resilience—and now she’s ready for the happy ending she should have had all along. Could you be the one to give Coral her second chance? Are you looking for quiet companionship? If so, Stormi may be the one for you. Stormi is currently in one of our wonderful foster homes so we know her very well. Her foster mom says she's a quiet cat who likes napping near her, is curious when visitors come by and loves her catnip. (Check out the video of her playing with a catnip toy!) She isn’t a lap cat yet, but she does like head pets. She uses an upright scratcher and scratching pads. Stormi’s story starts out a bit sad. Her family moved but couldn’t take her with them. In that home, Stormi was described as loving and affectionate! So she’s looking for a fresh start with someone who is patient and can let her settle in at her own pace. If you have a quiet home and would like to give Stormi her happy ending, we’d love to have you meet her in her Cambridge foster home. Cleo is a high energy kitty who will need an experienced owner who's up for a lot of play time with her! She may be small in stature, but she's large in personality. She loves to zoom around and interact with toys. When she’s worn out from playing she’s a super sweet cuddle bug that loves pets and just being near her person. She plays rough and can be nippy and swatty, but will stop if you don’t react. Because of these behaviors, Cleo needs to go to an adult-only home. And no small apartments please.Cleo does not like other animals, so she will need to be someone's one and only pet. When she’s worn out from playing she’s a super sweet cuddle bug that loves pets and just being near her person. She also loves looking out windows. She makes the cutest chirping noises and will always run up to greet you. Cleo is being fostered in Watertown. Gentle Giants! That’s how the foster mom of 6-year-old Toby and 7-year-old Winston describes them! Toby, the black kitty, is the biggest silly boy who just wants pets and to rub his cheeks on someone. He loves pets, food, any treat and when you’re done petting him, if he feels like you should give more he’ll gently paw at you. How cute is that? He’s also a little chatty and makes muffins on soft blankets. Winston is a bit reserved, but he likes pets and getting brushed. And you’ll see in the video that he loves to play with string toys in his tunnel! Both have become lap cats and are expert loungers who like to help their foster mom when she’s working at her desk and also like to bird watch out the window. Please note that Winston has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and takes a daily medication. If you’d like to learn more about this sweet pair or would like to meet them in their West Medford foster home, please fill out a quick pre-screen by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://bit.ly/3yRGpMD
