Calico kittens & cats in Marlborough, Massachusetts

Callie is a beautiful long-haired Calico. She is approximately 5-6 yrs old and loves to sit on her perch and look out the window. She would love to be an only cat. She has lived with 3 other cats, but she preferred to be the queen. She gets along with and has lived with many dogs. She is strictly a house cat, likes looking out the windows and cat napping. She enjoys her tower scratching post, dry and canned food, toys and treats. She's a lovely kitty and very beautiful! If you are interested in adopting from Sterling Animal Shelter, please submit an application through our "Pets for Adoption" page.  We are currently open by appointment only Tuesday through Friday, and have Open Hours on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.  Our appointments are scheduled by matching our applications to our available pets. If your application is chosen, our staff will contact you to set an appointment for a meet and greet to spend some time with the animal one-on-one. We do still have same day adoptions, and if your meet is successful, you can take your pet home at the time of your appointment.  To find the best match for each pet, we prefer to have the entire family present when doing an adoption. If you have a dog at home already, please be prepared to bring your resident dog to meet a potential new dog, to ensure all parties get along. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet. Hello...I have decided that it is on Menna's best interest to find her a stable home. I had fallen into financial issues and had to move on a boat. I tried to make Menna a boat kitty but she is not comfortable in that type of environment causing her stress. She has been staying at my mom's for the end of the winter. I would love to find her a stable home to live out her old lady years. She is sweet once she is comfortable but it may take a little time. Thanks so much.

Ginger Snap is initially shy but loves to play and cuddle once she settles in. Her favorite toy is the String-on-a-Stick. She is loves belly rubs and is learning to be a lap cat. She loves attention and has a nice purrrrrr! She is not tolerating the other cat in the home. So, she would do best as an only cat.

I am super playful and I especially love chasing that elusive red dot - the laser! One of my very favorite things is lickable treats and I enjoy licking them off your finger! I also love checking out the water fountain in my foster home. I enjoy hanging out wherever you are, near you. I can be reserved and I sometimes avoid being petted. But please do play with me!  I'd do well in a quieter home with older kids only. I'd probably be great with another cat or two - both to play with them and to learn from them. I prefer to be your only pet and with one human. When I warm up to you, I like to rub against your legs, receive pats, and start to purr. I am then content and will head back to my favorite spot to rest. When I am ready, I will seek out attention again.
