She absolutely lives for her people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. She is dog friendly with a gentle play style. While she does great in multiple play groups and gets along well with other dogs, she doesn’t feel the need to constantly engage — she much prefers human attention. An ideal home would be with a more independent dog, as Dahlia is happiest being your shadow and soaking up all the love. She loves walks, enjoys her toys, and does wonderful out in public. You can take her places with confidence — she has zero stranger danger and is always happy to meet new people. If you want to pet her, she’s all about it! After being abandoned and taken to the shelter, Luanne was absolutely terrified—hiding in the corner of her kennel, barking and growling at anyone who came near. She wasn’t aggressive… she was scared and completely shut down. Thankfully, someone took the time to see past that fear. With patience and kindness, they built trust and brought her out to the play yard—where a completely different dog emerged. Luanne showed off her soft, dainty play style and love for other dogs. Beneath that fear was just a happy, bouncy puppy waiting to feel safe. Because of her kennel behavior, she was placed on the euthanasia list—but we were able to step in just in time. And we are so glad we did. Outside of the shelter, Luanne is a completely different girl.
