She absolutely lives for her people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. She is dog friendly with a gentle play style. While she does great in multiple play groups and gets along well with other dogs, she doesn’t feel the need to constantly engage — she much prefers human attention. An ideal home would be with a more independent dog, as Dahlia is happiest being your shadow and soaking up all the love. She loves walks, enjoys her toys, and does wonderful out in public. Her story is heartbreaking — when her owner became homeless, Lulu found herself living in a homeless encampment. Frankie was found as a stray in California with a dislocated hip and spent nearly two months in a shelter. Even though we were not a partner rescue with that shelter, their volunteers loved him so much that they reached out and advocated for him, knowing he deserved a chance. Thanks to their support, Frankie was able to receive FHO surgery, and we are happy to say he is doing amazing in his recovery. He’s feeling great and showing everyone just what a wonderful dog he is. Frankie has a fantastic temperament and is stable in almost all of our playgroups. He does best with female dogs and absolutely loves to play—balls, toys, and bones are his jam. Give him a good bone and he’ll happily entertain himself for hours, stretched out on his bed like the good boy he is. He’s well-mannered, easygoing, and social, and we definitely see dog events in his future.
