Central TX... Anyone looking for a new buddy? Look no further!! Here's our big, beautiful, gentle boy, ❤️Bodhi❤️...He is available for adoption! He is aprox 105 lbs Cane Corso/Bully mix? approx 5-6 yrs old, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, uptodate on shots, kenne l(too big for crates} trained, house broken, quiet, except when he needs food, water, potty etc then he has this very loud bark...lol...best with no other dogs, or a calm & friendly female after careful, slow introductions. Great with women and kids, does NOT like ALL men, ONLY SOME men, so maybe their deep voice or height bothers him... He is an INDOOR ONLY dog, lying around all day, he likes to chill out, but he does like outside playtime and runs around a SECURE yard, or walks nicely ON LEASH, loves a kiddy pool to splash in..Best with children 12+ as he could inadvertantly knock over a younger child. He is very big and strong so needs a savvy handler, .if interested, please contact us for a meet & greet. An adoption fee, contract and yard/home check will be required before adoption... I got axle from a co-worker two weeks ago. His son moved out so he couldn't help him with the dog. So I took on the dog not knowing that my German Shepherd and him wouldn't get along so I've had them separate for 2 weeks they got along the first two weeks and then one thing led to another and it got in a couple little fights. But Axel is a good dog he listens to commands and he just needs to be trained or without another dominant male dog. I I listed axles as a young dog because he's over your old but he still has another 8 months to grow.

I came to the shelter because my last family had too many dogs. I`ve lived with big dogs before and I`ve been getting along with the dogs at the shelter. If you already have pups at home, we will have to have a meet and greet before I can be adopted.When I`m in play mode, my favorite thing to do is bob for `apples` (balls) in the shelter pool. Most of the time, however, I`m just a big lug who likes pets. My breed, Cane Corso, is powerful and loyal known for their protective nature and versatility. They make excellent companions for the experienced dog owner. We are asking potential adopters to fill an application. Please ask to meet me outside.

Different policies and fees may apply.  EXTREMELY URGENT — FOSTER NEEDED NOW Bear, a 1.5–2-year-old Cane Corso, is running out of time. If a foster home is not found within the next week, he will be surrendered to the shelter. His owner reached out for help because they can no longer care for him and are trying to do the right thing to keep him from entering the shelter system. In order for our rescue to step in, a foster home is required immediately. Bear is over 100 pounds and truly a gentle giant. He is sweet, calm, and loving, and has done well with children ages 4 and up. He does best with slow introductions to other dogs and is most comfortable with calm, submissive dogs. He cannot live with cats or small dogs. Bear walks well on a leash without much pulling, is crate trained, and has no known medical issues. He is not fond of car rides.
