Hello!! My name is FREYA.  Here is some information about me: Breed: Cane Corso Mix Age: 1 year old Gender: Female Weight: 49 lbs Height: tbd Highlights: sweet, gentle, good with other dogs Hi… my name is Freya. I’m a 1-year-old Cane Corso mix, about 49 pounds of gentle heart and wiggly happiness. I may look like a big girl, but inside I’m still very much a soft, playful puppy who just wants to belong. Not too long ago, my siblings and I were dumped in the desert. I don’t really understand why. We were all so docile, so loving, so ready to give our whole hearts. Even after being left behind, we stayed sweet. We stayed hopeful. We still believed people were good. And I still do. I’m house trained and crate trained (I like having my own cozy little space). I’m gentle, affectionate, and happiest when I’m near my people. I don’t love being totally alone — it makes me a little unsure — but when I have another dog around, I absolutely shine. Having a dog friend gives me confidence, comfort, and someone to wrestle and zoom around the yard with. Playtime is my favorite when I have a playful buddy! I do wonderfully with both small and large dogs. I’m respectful and sweet, and I really just want everyone to have fun. I’m also great with calm, kind children. Because I’m still young and a sturdy 49 pounds, I’d probably do best with older kids who understand that sometimes I get a little excited during play. What you should know about me: • I’m sweet and gentle• I’m house trained and crate trained• I love other dogs — big and small• I’d really thrive in a home with another playful dog• I’m affectionate and loyal• I’m still young, so I enjoy playtime and companionship What I’m looking for isn’t fancy. I don’t need the desert. I don’t need to be left behind. I just need a family who sees me — who understands that even though I was dumped, my heart is still open. If you already have a friendly dog looking for a sister, I could be your girl. I promise to be gentle, loving, and endlessly devoted. I promise to greet you with soft eyes and a wagging tail every single day. I’ve already survived the hardest part of my story. Now I’m just waiting for the best chapter — the one where I finally go home. Energy Level:  moderate I get along with: Dogs: Yes Cats: Unknown Kids: Yes (no vid proof) Fears/Prey Drive:  some separation anxiety when totally alone.  Does great with another dog in home. Training: Leash Skills: Yes.  I am eager to learn so please be prepared to continue with my training. House trained: Yes. Please assist training me where to go in my new home. Health Notes: I am healthy, spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. My adoption fee is $800 CAD plus taxes.  This includes my transport to Canada. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.  While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be charged the passenger fee in addition to this. [MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2658137##

Hi lovely Canadians. My name is DEEDI (Dedi) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Labrador Retriever/Cane Corso mixAge: 4 years (almost 5)Gender: femaleWeight: 38 kg/84lbsCountry of origin: Republic of GeorgiaHighlights: eager to please/learn, easy to train, intelligent, curious, faitful, affectionate, entertaining A nurturing "super-mom" with a heart of gold, ready to shower a big, busy family with endless cuddles. A critical message: Due to instability for rescue teams, I have an urgent need to reach a safe, forever home as soon as possible. Please do not delay my rescue mission!  Abandoned by an owner who couldn't sell my pups, I spent months surviving a cruel neighborhood where I faced electric shocks and threats. Despite the hardship, my loving nature never faded;I cared for my own puppies and even took in other abandoned ones.Since June 2024, I’ve been safe in a shelter, waiting for a real home. I’m a calm dog at heart and a natural nurturer who offers constant affection. While I get a bit excited on walks right now, it’s just because I’ve been confined, once I’m in a routine, my chilled-out self will return. Being intelligent and eager to please makes me a quick learner.A little stubbornness pops up occasionally, but my obedience is strong! Lovable, playful and very protective boy. Sweet and loves everyone. Full of energy. Needs a bigger home and backyard to play in. He has become too big, strong and heavy for me to take care of properly. Tried to train but he was too stubborn. Great with kids. Very protective.

Story
Hi there! My name Kaya, and here is some important info you need to know about me:   Breed: Anatolian mix   Age: 2 yearsGender: femaleHeight: 70 cmWeight: 24 kgHighlights: brave, confidence, playful, cuddly, friendly My name means brave, which is exactly what I have been since the day I was born. My story started when my mother was rescued while still nursing all six of us puppies. We were tiny and helpless, but kind people saved us and gave us a second chance at life.    Now I live in a private shelter, where I eat my meals and go for walks with volunteers on weekends. I’m great on a harness and leash, and I love exploring and spending time outside.   I’m a gentle, affectionate girl who enjoys being around people and other dogs.    https://youtube.com/shorts/9XaOcRJSlR8?si=4celfC6VsE-xU1LT    I’m not aggressive at all and I don’t chase cats — I’d much rather cuddle and be petted. Sometimes I nudge my way in if another dog is getting all the love — I can’t help it, I adore attention!   I can be a little shy around new people or children at first.    https://youtube.com/shorts/6ZFuTIviFAM?si=SbUD6_zc730W6yFE.  When I’m unsure, I stay still and wait quietly until I feel safe again. With patience and kindness, I warm up quickly and show my sweet, loving side.    Now I’m ready to start my next chapter — finding my forever home in Vancouver. I’ve been brave my whole life, and now I’m hoping to be loved just as much as I’ve been brave. Energy level: moderate Gets along with:     Other dogs: yes.   Children: yesCats: yes Fears: I am a bit unsure around strangers, but I warm up to new people pretty quickly. I will need some patience to get used to my new environment. Training: some  Leash training: I walk well on leashHouse training: I will need patient training Health notes: I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped  My adoption fee is 800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes transportation to Canada if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer:    It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us by international rescuers or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and may behave differently in different situations based on the adopter and environment. Please note:    LALDR highly encourages adopters to research local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Early guidance prevents most behavioral issues. Training should begin only after your dog is relaxed and settled—usually after a couple of weeks. Basic courses, even those at local pet stores, can be extremely beneficial for socialization and bonding.   While most dogs fly directly to Vancouver with escort volunteers, some may arrive via Toronto or Montreal. If this happens, additional cargo fees within Canada will apply (typically $350–$550 depending on the dog’s size). LALDR will be transparent about these costs.    The age and breed of dogs are best-guess estimates and cannot be guaranteed.     Homes with children under 12 are generally not approved unless a dog is known to do well with kids; in those cases, children 8+ may be considered. More information is on our website.    [MID-EAST] Vaccinations include rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1, and para-influenza. Story
Hello everyone! My name is Matilda and I'm a sweet, shy girl looking for somewhere to feel safe.  Here is some important info you should know about me:     BREED: Anatolian mix   AGE: 2 years   GENDER: Female   WEIGHT: 24 kg/52lb     HEIGHT: 70 cm PREY DRIVE: None observed. However, my adopter should continue training should these behaviors appear. I'M GOOD WITH: Dogs and cats. I'm good with Kids but I may be unsure of new people or quick movements, so calm, older children are recommended. FEARS: I can be afraid of new people, new places, and unfamiliar environments. I need slow introductions, reassurance, and patience. TRAINING: Some   LEASH TRAINING: I am in the process of learning; I have started walking a bit during volunteer outings.   HOUSE TRAINING: I have lived in a home with a garden and was taught to toilet outside, but I will still need patient reinforcement in a new home. HEALTH NOTES: I have been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated (Nobivac), dewormed, treated regularly against insects, and rabies antibody blood test completed. ADOPTION FEE: 800.00 CAD + taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver Highlights: shy, calm, cautious, playful      About me - I’m the shyest girl among my six siblings, but also one of the sweetest. I’m calm, gentle, affectionate, and even playful once I feel safe.    https://youtube.com/shorts/S1KD6E4Hn1A?si=x_BCRWG7Jw8VXpPn    I’ve also lived in a private home with a garden, where I learned to use the bathroom outside only. I’m not aggressive, I don’t react to cats, and I have no hunting instinct.     https://youtube.com/shorts/KGvpEX_8_gs?si=ZkCaQ6TCees-c9mT My story - I grew up in a private shelter, where the outside world felt scary and overwhelming at first. Volunteers worked patiently with all of us, teaching us how to walk on a leash and explore step by step. I was the slowest to progress—but I have started walking a little during volunteer outings, and I’m learning at my own pace. Ideal home - I’m looking for a loving, patient family who understands that shy dogs need time. With consistency, stability, and someone who believes in me, I’ll grow braver and more confident every single day. If you want a soft-hearted girl who blossoms slowly but beautifully, I might be your Matilda. My adoption fee is 800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the adopter and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although one-on-one training is often not required, it is helpful to have support available should any problematic behaviors arise. Most issues can be modified if addressed early, so it’s important to guide your dog before small challenges become big problems. Basic training should begin only after your dog has settled in—usually after a couple of weeks. Once your new dog is relaxed and comfortable, check out local beginner courses. These help with socialization, confidence, public manners, and bonding. While most dogs fly directly to Vancouver with flight volunteers, some may need routes through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, extra fees will apply for cargo transfer within Canada. Cargo costs typically range from $350–$550, depending on the dog’s size. LALDR will be transparent about any additional transportation fees. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we cannot guarantee accuracy. Normally, homes with children under 12 are not approved. However, if a dog is known to be good with kids, applicants with children 8+ may be considered. ##2603394##
