Story
Freya is an energetic 4 yr old girl. She is very affectionate and believes she is a lapdog. We have had her since 7 weeks old along with our other 2 dogs. Freya does fine with our male dog but as of lately is showing aggression toward our older female dog. She is a vey muscular dog and would do better with a younger family. She also would need a fenced back yard and preferably be the only pet. We are not sure how she will do around children because ours are all grown. This is not an easy decision for us and are not taking this lightly. We need her to go to a home that will treat her like family and give her all the love she deserves.

Story
We got Oso when he was a puppy. He had his ears cropped already and he loves to play. He does follow commands, but if he gets to excited he tends to get overwhelmed and is confused on what to do. But he loves playing tug of war, or running away with his favorite toy and you chase him. He needs someone whose willing to give him their time and isn't afraid to command and lead him. You need to be stern with him, while giving his command. He doesn't eat unless you tell him to eat. He will get excited if he meets another dog, but he just wants to play with them, but people think he's attacking them because he's so big and makes noises. Needs someone who is experienced with big dogs and who could love him like their own. I can't take him with me, I'm getting re-stationed to Japan. He doesn't have a kennel, but I got plenty of dog food to give.

Story
I am 114 lbs and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 Otis is a handsome young Cane Corso/Mastiff mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for treats. At just over a year old, this 100-pound boy is housetrained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like sit and paw. Otis enjoys walks, being close to his people, and showing off his happy, playful side. Otis can be nervous in new situations and has shown some resource guarding around food and toys, as well as protective behavior toward his owners. He will need an experienced dog owner (preferably who has had experience with Cane Corso/XL guardian dogs) who can provide structure, continued training, and careful introductions to new people. Because of his size, strength, and behavioral needs, Otis would do best in an adult-only home committed to helping him build confidence and succeed. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown. We look forward to seeing you soon! Story
He is neutered, healthy, and well-trained. He is a loyal, protective, and affectionate dog who bonds closely with his people. He does well with adults and older children who understand how to respect a dog’s space. Unfortunately, he is not comfortable around young children, especially those who don’t understand boundaries. Because of this, we feel it’s safest and fairest for him to be placed in a home with no small children or with kids old enough to interact calmly and appropriately. He currently lives with another dog, but has no other socialization,so an only-dog home is strongly preferred to ensure the best transition and success for everyone involved. About him: • 6 years old • Male, neutered • Cane Corso • Loyal, protective, and loving • Does best in a calm, structured home • Needs a confident owner familiar with large or guardian breed We want him to thrive in a home where his needs and boundaries are fully respected.

Story
🐾 Meet Snaffles 🐾 After spending the past few months in a loving foster home, Snaffles is finally healthy, settled, and ready to find his forever family. This 4½-year-old Cane Corso Mastiff has come such a long way—and now it’s his turn for a happy ending. 💛 Snaffles is the ultimate *Velcro dog*. His favorite place in the world is right by your side, whether you’re relaxing at home or moving from room to room. He forms strong bonds with his people and just wants to be included in your everyday life. He’s fully potty trained, does great in a crate, and is a quiet, well-mannered house guest. He’s not destructive when left alone, though he may try to follow you out the door—he just loves his humans that much! Snaffles has lived peacefully with other animals, including small dogs, and shows no issues with sharing food, toys, or space. He’s more of a gentle, laid-back companion than a playful pup, but will occasionally get into a silly, playful mood with his people. And his little tail nubbin? It never stops wagging! On leash, he can get excited when spotting other dogs, but off-leash he has done well meeting dogs of all sizes. With patience and consistency, he will continue to improve. He’s got some endearing quirks—he loves to lick (especially when cozy or sleepy), prefers you nearby while he eats, and may get a bit carsick on rides. He’s still learning basic commands and does best with positive reinforcement and encouragement. Snaffles also has some medical considerations, including a leg that may need future evaluation and some dental work. He’s currently comfortable and enjoying life, but his future family should be ready to support his ongoing care. He does shed quite a bit, so brushing will help keep his coat (and your home!) in check. Through everything, Snaffles has proven to be a happy, resilient, and deeply loving dog. Now that he’s had time to heal and decompress in foster, he’s more than ready to find a family to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be your shadow and your best friend, Snaffles is waiting to meet you. 🐶🏡
