Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit,down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient.She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feetFOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. This dog's adoption fee is $400. If you are still interested, please read more below. Maxine absolutely loves people! Whether it is lounging on the couch for a nice nap or giving nonstop kisses, she can't get enough of her people. This silly girl has an upside-down turtle wiggle she will show you when she is really excited. If you look too long into those beautiful eyes, she will memorize you to instantly fall in love. Max unfortunately has shown aggression to older/other dogs. Therefore she will need to be the only dog in the home. Maxine is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and spayed. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!
