As of 6/8/2024, Bam Bam is a 1.5 year old Cane Corso. He came to us after he was fostered briefly by a Chicago police office when he was relinquished to his station back in May. Bam Bam is a sweet, loving boy but can be nervous in new situations. He needs a patient owner that will provide the stability he needs to gain some confidence. He loves playing with his toys....they are the way to his heart! He's very strong and needs leash work, but we can definitely work on that in training. Otherwise, he is a gentle noy Location: Saint Charles, MO Weight: 120 lbs Toby came to us from a cruelty case. He is the sweetest old man. He loves to just sit by you and get pets. He does fine being left alone, but prefers to be with people. He has met the neighbor dog through the fence, but has mostly ignored him. He has done fantastic with all the people he has met. He loves the car, and every time we go outside he runs to the gate hoping for a car ride. He is very chill but does throw his weight around when he wants attention The perfect adopter is patient and kind. Toby will need lots of reassurance to regain his confidence and to know that he is safe. His perfect adopter would be someone that can be home and with him most of the time. He seems to be ok with other dogs, but doesn't need a home with one. He is not big long periods outside, so would be happy with a daily walk. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, the dog is considered available for adoption. Meet and greets can be scheduled with approved adopters. Martha - Female Cane Corso Age: 3 Years Gets along with: Cats: No Dogs: Yes Kids: Unknown Location: Chicago, IL Weight: 85 lbs Martha is a giant bundle of love- she wants nothing more than to lay in your lap and cuddle. She enjoys long, leisurely walks with plenty of time to check out all the good sniff spots, and playing chase with her foster sister. She does great in her crate, both during the day and overnight and lets you know when she needs to go outside with a gentle paw placed on your lap. Martha is still a bit skittish around new people, but once she gets used to someone, she is happy to make friends. Martha would do just fine with a first time giant owner, provided they are strong enough to handle her. Her perfect adopter would be someone who is willing to give her lots of love and attention- she wants to be in your lap as often as possible. While she would certainly enjoy a fenced yard, she is doing fine without one. So far she has gotten along with every dog she has met, but another dog in the home is not a requirement. She should not go to a home with small animals (bunnies, guinea pigs, etc) as she has a very strong prey drive.
