He is neutered, healthy, and well-trained. He is a loyal, protective, and affectionate dog who bonds closely with his people. He does well with adults and older children who understand how to respect a dog’s space. Unfortunately, he is not comfortable around young children, especially those who don’t understand boundaries. Because of this, we feel it’s safest and fairest for him to be placed in a home with no small children or with kids old enough to interact calmly and appropriately. He currently lives with another dog, but has no other socialization,so an only-dog home is strongly preferred to ensure the best transition and success for everyone involved. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup!
