Story
Hi, I'm Margo! I'm a young, playful girl who loves cuddles, making new human friends, and spending quality time with my family. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I warm up, I'm as sweet and loving as can be. One of my favorite hobbies is borrowing shoes so I can snuggle up with them. When it comes to other animals, I'm a bit particular and would really prefer to be your one and only pet. I have so much love to give, and I'd be happiest in a home where I can soak up all the attention and be your loyal best friend. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will adore her people, I just might be your perfect match! Margo's adoption fee has been waived thanks to Hensley Legal

Story
Harry is a big, lovable derpy dog who loves everyone he meets. Harry is about 85% potty trained and he’s 100% lapdog. He doesn't know how big he is, and wears his love on the outside. He is certainly a very happy dog if he has room to move. No fault of his own, Harry has been bounced around from home to home and did a couple tours of the city shelter when we stepped in and decided to give him a chance. Harry has had very little structure in his young life and he most likely missed the window of development when dogs learn to read other dogs. So, while he absolutely loves other dogs, he has no idea how to read body language. Because of this, Harry will need slow introductions and a tolerant dog friend to set him up for success when meeting other dogs. Harry has some separation anxiety and would do best in a home where he gets to go most places with his people or his people are home a lot. Harry also has no idea that he’s an 95 lb dog with more weight to put on. Because of Harry's large size and inability to read personal space, he would do better with a stronger person of stature. Harry thinks he is still a puppy and can easily be unpredictable with his joy. He's basically a lovable-wrecking ball in dog form. Harry has the stubbornness of a mastiff. If he doesn't want to do something he either plays "catch the mastiff" or "dead mastiff." Both can be frustrating, but also funny if you like that kind of thing. Most of what Harry is trying to avoid is being alone. You absolutely will not find a dog with a bigger heart than Harry. But I’m not gonna lie, he is A LOT. He’s got some baggage from being bounced around. He needs structure, patience, and time. And, of course, lots of love. Are you Harry’s person? Fill out an adoption application on our website, Sketchymuttsandunderdogs.org and we will set up a time to talk about him! *Adopters must live in Central Indiana, no more than 45 min from downtown Indy

I got Rocko from my old neighbor. He was just 10 weeks old when i brought him home . Rocko is now a little over 1 yr old . My lease is ending at the end of Oct . The new place doesn’t allow his breed . He is also good w/ kids . Also he is good @ listening to commands like “sit , stay , come , down’’. Story
It is with the heaviest hearts that we are looking for a new forever home for our beautiful sweet girl, Nala. We have had her since she was a baby, and she is now 2 years old. She is a rare purebred white Cane Corso, with all papers and vaccinations up to date.Nala is gentle, loving, and loyal she adores attention and cuddles, and she is especially great with families. She has never posed a threat to anyone, though her size can be intimidating at first. She loves to play, loves rubs, and even cries like a toddler when she wants affection!Unfortunately, due to severe allergies in our 7-year-old son, we have no choice but to rehome her. His allergies have escalated to the point of hospitalization, and after multiple doctor visits, we discovered that Nala is the source. Our family’s health must come first, but this does not make this decision any less heartbreaking. Our hope is to find a loving family who will treat Nala as one of their own & provide her with a forever home.

Story
Uyai is a gorgeous 65-pound, 14-month old girl with a vibrant and energetic personality. She has been crate-trained, trained to walk to a door to ask to use the bathroom, and has been well-socialized. Though she’s a bit hesitant with new people, she warms up quickly once she realizes they’re safe to be around. Uyai loves to play tug-of-war, chew toys are an addiction of hers, and she’s predominantly play-motivated. She is a mix of Purebred American Pitbull and Cane Corso, and was adopted from a home with her 7 brothers and sisters when her previous owner was surprised by a huge litter! She has been rigorously trained so she knows numerous commands (ex: sit, lay down, up, down, paw, other paw, bite, come here, fetch, point, etc.). Searching for a new home that has more time to play with her! I’ve become very important at work, and I’m no longer able to spend as much time with her. She needs a more active home, and could be a great service dog as she loves mental stimulation!

Story
David’s introduction went from uncertainty to belly rubs when an officer took time to speak calmly and let him get acquainted. Before long, he rolled onto his back for scratches and greeted the attention with full-body wags. This 3-year-old, 81-pound boy has continued to show his affectionate side at the shelter, welcoming staff with wiggles and seeking plenty of pets during a visit outside his kennel.David appreciates patient introductions that give him time to feel comfortable. He is a strong dog who can pull on leash and will benefit from continued practice with walking manners. During one outing, he barked toward another dog but was easily redirected and continued walking with his handler. His compatibility with dogs, cats, and children is unknown. A home would give David the chance to build familiar routines with someone who appreciates both his size and his enthusiasm for affection. All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter`s care. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.
