Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All our Cane lovers come check out adoptable Enzo!  He was found near 8 mile in Detroit while hanging around a job site.  He is an active boy who LOVES to play catch.  He is great at the fetching part, he returns about 75% of the time, but he’s working on it!  We are still learning his personality, but he seems to be a confident boy who knows what he wants.  This fits the breed description and as such will ideally go to a home with Cane or Mastiff experience.  He likes people but barks at new people who come around his space, again, standard for the breed.  He has got along well with a few chill female pups hes met and would probably be good with a relaxed female sister.  No cats for this boy and kids above the age of 13.  If you are looking for a beautiful Cane with a great life ahead of him please apply to meet Enzo today!  His approximate birth date is March 2021.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2024, 12:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lynsie is a resilient rescue dog who was saved from a large litter where her mother posed a hazard to the puppies due to being overzealous. Despite her rough start, Glinda has adapted well and shown a loving temperament. She has experience being around medium to large dogs and enjoys playful interactions with them. While she hasn't been exposed to cats or young children, Glinda has demonstrated good behavior around older kids (12+ years). She is working on crate-training, which helps her feel secure and provides her with a sense of comfort in her own space. Glinda is curious, affectionate, and eager to please, making her an ideal companion for outdoor activities and a loving addition to any family willing to continue her socialization and exploration journey.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 13, 2024, 12:48 pm

Story
Calling all Mastiff lovers!Meet Hunky Hercules! This brindled boy came to us as a cold, shivering stray back in the bitter month of February. At the time, he was really shut down and unsure of new people. To everyone's surprise, no one came looking for this big scared puppy. Months later and here we are! Hercules is a big, giant goofball and a huge favorite of the shelter staff. Although he still has a shy side, he's a very happy and playful pup. One of his favorite things to do is to chase the tennis ball out back and show off how fast he can run. Through the day, Hercules keeps a clean kennel and understands the routine of going outside. He will likely need a little brushing up on house-training when adjusting to his new home. He is very toy and treat motivated and with some guidance he should catch onto new things fairly quick. Introductions to other dogs should be done at a slow and steady pace. Hercules does tend to get pretty worked up with some of the more intense dogs here at the shelter. He doesn't seem to mind the calmer female dogs. He is NOT a good it for a home with cats! And due to his large size and timid nature, we advise that he goes to a home with older children.Hercules is a sweet pup and we are sad to see him get looked over so often! We feel as though he would thrive in a home with breed experience or someone willing to do their homework on the Cane Corso breed.**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 90 lbs**

Story
Behold, the Queen of the Wiggle-Butts! Meet Astraea!Astraea came to us several months ago as s stray. Upon arrival, Astraea kept a very big secret from us. She was an expecting mama! Astraea gave birth to a litter of beautiful puppies who have all since been adopted out. Now, it's Mommy's turn to find her OWN happily ever after. This gorgeous gray girl can be a little particular on her likes and dislikes. She's a very woman-empowered pup and does way better meeting the ladies. Any man in the home will need to work to win over her trust and love. But with treats and patience, Astraea would likely be just fine. As for other animals, she has proven to prefer life as the solo pet. But don't worry, she has the love of a hundred dogs to give to her future family! When Astraea loves you she loves with her whole heart, you'll never ever have to question her loyalty. She loves going on long walks in the sunshine and walks beautifully in a harness (she does tend to pull a little when being walked with a collar!). Astraea does great with potty-training if let out regularly and would likely be fine in a crate if she were to be spending lengthy periods of time alone. This girl is literally the BEST! Her future humans will definitely have a super good girl on their hands. **Heartworm negative, scheduled to be spayed and microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention, she weighs about 55 lbs**

Story
Good With Kids: Yes, 8 and up. Good With Other Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: Tested, but has not lived with cats. Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes House Manners: Good Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes, Tess is an easy walker Knows Basic Commands: Sit Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High):Couch Potato to Moderate Special Needs: None Physical Fence: Preferred / No Invisible Fences Nickname: Dutchess Favorite game: Fetch Arrival story: Spent a long stint at the Saginaw County Animal Shelter. Approximate age / Weight: 10-years-old and 66 lbs. Personality: The Duchess has arrived. The Duchess of Waggin’ Tails that is! Ruler of the foster dog kingdom or errr… her foster home. Tess is a spunky lady, who loves to snuggle, go for walks, play with her tiny toys and zoomie around the yard. Queen Tess is a pretty easy-going lady and loves to just hang out with her people on her throne (couch) after taking you on a parade around her kingdom (neighborhood). She knows sit, and has more of a refined palate and leans into being more of a meat and potato type of girl. Tess is kind to all her subjects (cat and dog-tested). She is nervous around new people, so a slow introduction with lots of treats is the way to this queen’s heart. New Home: She likes to hang out with her people and is a great daily walking buddy. Would be happy living with other animals, but would also be happy to eat up all the attention she truly deserve as the only Queen in your home. Are you willing to roll out the red carpet for her?
