Story
*UTD/MICROCHIPPED/ ON MONTHLY FLEA AND TICK AND HEARTWORM PILL/SPAYED *good with cats *no kids under 12 ( she is very fast when she runs) *non- reactive dogs are best to pair her with *loves chew toys and tennis balls!! On Feb 08, 2024, Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control officer, reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! We have dog tested Beauty at our dog trainers place in Athens, TN and found out that she is good with non-reactive dogs ( we have been pairing her up with non- reactive dogs at our rescue for play) .She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy, young kids could unknowingly get in her way. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout! Her most favorite toy is a tennis ball! if you have two, that would be great or else you WILL go through ALOT of them because she will chew them up right away! We are teaching her to bring it and leave it and wait for us to toss her second ball. sometimes, we will work with her on just one ball....but that is a lot more work vs having a second one ready haha! We do believe she is house broken as she has not made any messes in our home or the dog building. **We do offer foster to adopt to do a trail run** ( PLEASE ASK US FOR MORE INFORMATION AS WE TAILOR TO YOUR NEEDS/ REQUESTS AS NEEDED, THE BEST WE CAN) If you have any questions, please feel free to get ahold of us through here, or through our website at www.woofwooffosters.org . Thank you, woofwoof fosters -team This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Sycamore is a 4-month-old blue Cane Corso mix with a heart as big as her playful personality. She is a lively, wiggly little girl who loves to explore, play, and be the center of attention. Full of puppy energy, she is curious about the world and thrives on interaction, making her a joyful companion for an active household.Being so young, Sycamore will need a family ready to commit to basic puppy training, including learning manners, leash skills, and proper socialization. She is eager to please and responds well to positive reinforcement, but she will need guidance as she grows into her big, strong adult body.Sycamore’s playful and enthusiastic nature means she is best suited for a home with children aged 10 and up who can handle her boundless energy and puppy antics. She loves to be part of the action, enjoys cuddles when she’s tired from play, and is looking for a family who will shower her with attention while setting clear boundaries. This sweet girl is searching for a loving home that understands puppies take patience, consistency, and plenty of affection. If you’re ready for puppy wiggles, playful kisses, and lots of love, Sycamore is ready to be your loyal, fun-loving companion. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $100

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.-Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Squid! Squid is a one-year-old (DOB december 2024) Cane Corso mix with a giant heart and an even bigger need to be close to his people. This sweet boy loves humans so much that he prefers to be right by your side—personal space optional! Squid didn’t get the attention or training he deserved as a puppy, so he’s still learning how to be his best self. With patience, structure, and love, he has so much potential. He’d thrive in a home with a calm male or female dog who can help show him the ropes and boost his confidence. Squid is looking for a stable, understanding home that sees not what he missed—but who he can become. If you’re ready to help this loving boy grow, Squid is ready to give you his whole heart.  Apply at busterdogs.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 22, 2025, 8:35 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Gia 2.5-year-old Cane Corso | Female | All-Black Beauty Gia's story is one of quiet resilience. This stunning Cane Corso girl was recently rescued from the shelter (DACC), thanks to a big push from our rescue team who just knew she deserved a second chance. At 2 ½ years old, Gia is still coming out of her shell and learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. Whatever she went through before, it left her a little reserved—but not broken. Every day, Gia shows us more of her sweet, calm spirit. She’s incredibly relaxed and easy to be around. She feels most comfortable with women and bonds quickly with them. Men might need to go a bit slower—she’s shy at first—but with a little patience and kindness, she warms up and lets her guard down. Gia isn’t the kind of dog who demands the spotlight. She’s the quiet type, happiest when she can just be near someone she trusts. Whether it's lounging at your feet or giving you those soft, soulful eyes from across the room, Gia's presence is grounding. She’s still decompressing from her time in the shelter and would thrive in a calm, stable environment with people who understand that healing takes time. Looking for: A patient, loving home (female-led or understanding of her sensitivities around men), ideally quiet and predictable. Gia is a gentle soul who just wants to feel safe and loved. If you're looking for a low-key, loyal companion who just needs a little time to show you her full heart, Gia might be your girl.
