Story
Tig would do best in a home with teenage kids due to his high prey drive; small kids running around the house he will chase, corner, and lunge towards them. He is very loving with his family and is happy to get in your lap. but weary of strangers; slow introductions to new people are best. His favorite treat is ice cubes. He is crate trained, potty trained, and has completed basic obedience. He would benefit from additional training and people who have the time to spend on training. He knows sit, stay, and down, and walks well on leash with a prong collar; he has a high prey drive and will bolt on leash without it. He is very vocal and will whack you with a paw when he wants attention or wants to go potty.

Story
💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Leisen Family Farm in River Falls, WI on Sunday, 10/18 from Noon - 3:00pm! 💚 Age: 8 years old Weight: 120 lbs Dog friendly: Needs slow intros to some dogs Cat friendly: Yes, dog savvy cats are best Kid friendly: Yes, age 15+ is ideal due to size Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Does well free roam Adoption fee: $225 Hey you… yeah, you. 💜 I might be your girl. Hi! I'm Kui, an 8-year-old, 120 lb sweetheart looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home. Sure, I may look a little rough around the edges, but don’t let that fool you. I’m probably the softest dog you’ll ever pet… both literally and in spirit. 💕 You’ll get a big, loving shadow who adores belly rubs, couch cuddles, and a little morning play before settling in for a championship-level nap. 😆 I’m potty trained, trustworthy with free roam of the house, not destructive, and my exercise needs are refreshingly low. My favorite things? A fresh bone, a quick game of fetch, leisurely sniffari walks, and absolutely demolishing a cardboard box just because it’s fun. I also take my daily medications like a perfect lady—as long as they’re tucked inside a bite of deli meat. If you’re looking for a bed buddy, I’ll happily curl up beside you all night… and the best part? No snoring! I’m simply happiest hanging out with my people and don’t mind sharing a little drool as payment for all the love I’ll give you. Stairs used to make me nervous. I'm proud to say I have mastered them now, and kiddos 15+ are ideal. I can be your one-and-only or live with other dogs after slow introductions, and I’m respectful with dog-savvy cats. If you’ve got a big heart and a little extra space, I’d love nothing more than to fill it. ❤️

Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
