Story
Meet Charro Breed: Carolina Dog / Pit Bull mix Sex: Male Birthday: 7/25/2020 Weight: 55 pounds Health: Healthy and neutered Personality Charro is a friendly, playful, and deeply affectionate boy. He loves attention, playtime, and being around people. He’s got a soft side too — happy to curl up next to you after a game of fetch or a long walk. He’s social, loving, and always eager to connect. Why Charro Would Be a Great Adoption Choice Charro has a big heart and a strong desire to be part of a family. His playful and gentle spirit makes him great for an active home with time for affection and structure. He’s a people-focused dog who thrives on interaction and love. Breed Info The Carolina Dog is known for being intelligent, clean, and pack-oriented. Pit Bulls are loyal, athletic, and affectionate. This mix results in a dog that is both emotionally in-tune and physically active — a smart, loving dog who bonds deeply with his family. Owner Responsibilities Provide consistent playtime, training, and affection Feed a quality diet and maintain regular vet care Offer structure, guidance, and lots of attention Make time for walks, games, and cuddle sessions ❗Things to Consider  Will you allow time for your new dog to adjust to their new environment, routine, and family? Can you afford the financial responsibility of a dog — including food, vet care, preventatives, and grooming? Does your housing allow dogs, and are there any breed or size restrictions? Does anyone in your household have allergies to pets? Do you have the time, energy, and commitment to provide daily care, exercise, and affection for the next 10–15 years? These dogs are not to be chained or left outside. Each one deserves to live indoors with love, safety, and companionship. Commitment for Life Charro needs more than just a place to sleep — he needs someone to love him for life. He’ll be your shadow, your cheerleader, and your cuddle buddy. He’s looking for a forever home, not a temporary stop. Make him part of your life, and he’ll give you all of his. Story
Zumba is a 50-lb Viszla/Carolina mix pup with the perfect combination of playful energy and cuddle-bug sweetness. He loves to run, play, and be a total goofball — and once he’s gotten his zoomies out, he’ll happily curl up right next to you for snuggles. This handsome boy is super smart and eager to learn. He’s still young and continuing his training, but he’s very motivated and would thrive with someone excited to keep teaching him as well as maybe somebody who loves adventures like going hiking or going to the beach. Zumba loves people and does well with other dogs. Because he’s curious and energetic, a home without cats would likely be best. About Zumba• ~50 lbs• Dog friendly• Very smart and trainable• Loves people• Certified goofball Zumba has so much love to give — he just needs someone to give him a chance.

Story
Jeff is a really good boy and it pains me to let go of him. However, he is a relatively big dog (65lbs) with a lot of energy and needs a home with more space than what I can offer. He is a rescue pup and has a little anxiety around strangers, but warms up to everyone quickly after meeting them. He's great with other dogs, super smart, loyal and very good at following to commands.

Story
Iris is a beautiful and possibly rare 2-3-year-old Carolina Dog mix with soulful amber eyes, a gentle spirit, and an incredible story of resilience. Often called “America’s original dog,” Carolina Dogs are an ancient and highly uncommon breed known for their intelligence, sensitivity, athleticism, and deep bond with their people. Her name, Iris, means “rainbow” in Greek and symbolizes hope after storms — a fitting name for a dog who has overcome so much. At just 33 pounds, Iris is compact enough to curl up beside you, but athletic enough for walks, hikes, and adventures. Iris was rescued from an overcrowded L.A. County shelter after being placed on an urgent euthanasia deadline. Before that, she had been abandoned by her family in her own filth inside a crate during a wildfire evacuation, later reclaimed, and then surrendered again — leaving her fearful and emotionally overwhelmed after spending much of her life outdoors. But once given safety, patience, and love, Iris began to blossom. In foster care, she has become a loyal, loving companion who is house-trained, quiet in the home, intelligent, obedient, and eager to please. She loves toys, walks, zooming around the yard like a little kangaroo, yummy treats, and simply being near her people. Because of her sensitive nature, Iris would do best in a calm adult home without young children, either as an only dog or possibly with a calm, well-matched companion. She has not yet been tested with cats. Her community has even raised training funds to support her future success. After everything she’s endured, Iris deserves the safety and unconditional love of a forever home. Iris’ adoption fee is $100, which helps support her care and ensures serious adoption inquiries only. Follow her journey: @iris.unleashed
