Story
I adopted Nellie from the local animal shelter a few years ago. Nellie was 9 months old then and will be turning 4 in October. She was a rescue dog that struggled terribly with social interaction with people and other dogs. She was very timid and speaking in a loud tone frightened her, she was also timid around men. She is much better now, and typically warms up to people fairly quickly if you have a gentle approach. She is now social, loves going to the dog park and playing with other dogs. She affectionate dog. She is good children. She is very playful and is both energetic and can also be relaxed. She loves to run so if you have an open spacious yard for her she would love it. She is a barker, she barks at cars, the mailman, people she may see walking by in the neighborhood, however in her loyal and protective nature she has never done more than bark. She is up to date on all her shots. Nellie’s breed mix sheds quite a bit when shedding their winter coat, brushing her daily helps.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet any of our dogs.  The link to our application is https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC or directly on our website at bfpa.org. Meet one of the Music Icon Puppies..... Adele! She is the only female in this litter and wants to say "Hello".  She is a such a sweet puppy with a fun and exciting personality.  Adele would like to meet "Someone Like You".  She is a cuddly, friendly puppy who will soon be leaving her momma's side and looking for her forever home.  Do you think you could give this sweet girl the home she is longing for? "Rumour Has It" that you might be looking for a puppy!  His momma, Maddy,  is a 32 lb mix dog who is also pictured above.  We feel that her puppies will be her size or maybe a bit larger. Maddy will also be available for adoption soon.   Approved applicants can meet Adele now but she can't start a trial adoption until after her first vet exam and set of vaccines.  She will be ready to start an adoption trial Saturday August 3rd. She is packing up her toys already and is getting ready for her next adventure in life!  "Love Is A Game" and she is ready to play with you.   NOTE:  Adele cannot live in a multi family building without her own dedicated yard. She is still susceptible to diseases. She cannot go anywhere in public and must stay only in her adopters home and yard until her second set of vaccines in late August.  So she needs a dedicated safe place to be outside where other unknown dogs have not walked.  Puppies may nibble, bite and mouth so may not be appropriate for very young children unless they have had experience around dogs/puppies.   EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Adele was born at a shelter after her momma was picked up as a stray. Best Friend Pet Adoption quickly rescued both the momma and her 4 puppies.  They are all safe now and will live the rest of their lives in loving homes.  Maybe you can open your home for one of these lucky puppies.   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.   Applicants for puppies should ideally live 30 minutes from Cary NC (no further than one hour)  since she must receive medical care in the Cary area. Best Friend Pet Adoption will cover all medical cost until Adele adoption is finalized once she is spayed when she is around 6 months old.   Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live close to Cary NC.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ADELE ? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 11:12 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. PLEASE NOTE:  All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application.  The link to our application is https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC or at bfpa.org.   You MUST submit a Best Friend Pet Adoption application to be considered.       Meet one of the Music Icon puppies...none other than Elton!  He is a such a friendly and happy puppy.  When Best Friend Pet Adoption went to the shelter to pick him up, he knew "Someone Saved My Life Tonight".  Elton wants to say" Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and follow it to his new home.  He loves to play with his siblings  and will often do the "Crocodile Rock" to amuse them.  Could he come and amuse you? He is a cuddly, gentle puppy who will soon be leaving his momma's side and looking for his forever home.  Do you have the right  home for Elton? He could even live in a home without a piano:-)  His momma, Maddy, is a 32 lb mix dog who is also pictured above.  We feel that her puppies will be her size or maybe a bit larger. The video shows Elton, Elvis and a cameo appearance from their Mom, Maddy.  Approved applicants can meet Elton now but he can't start a trial adoption until after his first vet exam and set of vaccines.  He will be ready to start an adoption trial Saturday August 3rd.  He is packing up his toys already and is getting ready for his next adventure in life! He wants to get going so quickly that  his siblings are calling him "Rocket Man".  NOTE:  Elton cannot live in a multi family building without his own dedicated yard.  He is still susceptible to diseases. A townhome must have their own yard area. He cannot go anywhere in public and must stay only in his adopters home and yard until his second set of vaccines.  So he needs a dedicated safe place to be outside where other unknown dogs have not been.   Puppies may nibble, bite and mouth so may not be appropriate for very young children unless they have had experience around dogs/puppies.   EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:  Elton was born at a shelter after his momma was picked up as a stray.
