Together with my sister, I was rescued off the streets in Phoenix at barely 2 weeks old. My sister found her home with her foster mom while I traveled to Tucson to find my forever home. I’m a handsome fellow with a loud purr that can be heard through the door. Once you start petting me, I don’t ever want you to stop. I love to sleep in bed with my human and my perfect day is lounging on the couch bench watching your favorite shows. My name is Nala and I wanted to introduce myself. I grew up on the streets of Phoenix until a rescuer took me in and gave me a foster home. Unfortunately, life happened and they couldn't keep me. I was transported to Tucson to join a foster home there. I'm very social and outgoing, but I’m not a lap cat. I will join you on the couch or bed for cuddle time and to watch TV as I LOVE to get pets but I can't lay in one place for too long; I will get up and stretch my legs and come back for more chin scratches. My one quirk is that I love gently sneak attacks and use my foster dad's arm as a warm up before playtime with toys. I have to point out that I don't break skin when I play but he says that I'm not a good fit for smaller children because of it. My favorite toys are string toys and anything that can be thrown and chased. I like playing with the kitten in my current foster home but I need a lot of time to warm up with older cats. I guess they don’t prefer my energy level. I would do best in a calm environment with plenty of attention, chin scratches, and a adult human to love on. DSH – black Male - neutered Felv/FIV negative DOB approx 03/28/25 Tama was found in a wash by a Good Samaritan. At one point, the person reached out to us as their home wasn’t a good fit got him. Tama is getting used to indoor life and it’s benefits of a full bowl, comfy bed, and human entertainment. He’s is a gentle black cat that just wants all the love and attention. He starts purring at first eye contact and continues as long as you are around. Tama had more socialization later in life so he will need some time to open up. If you don’t push and allow him his space, eventually you will get all his love. At times he will reach back out for your hand for more pets but sometimes scratches occur in his excitement. Keep his claws trimmed and you will just get soft paws. He is an avid food connoisseur and does not seem picky. He is also really good at drinking water.
