No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
Shaman is a confident, entertaining little guy with a personality all his own. He loves playing independently, happily tossing toys around, carrying them through the house, and proudly trotting by with one in his mouth. When he plays, he makes the cutest little growl, a hilarious and endearing sound that makes everybody stop and smile.  Despite his independent play style, Shaman absolutely enjoys companionship and requires a furry friend in his new home. He loves being groomed and cuddled by his foster cat friends, and he’s recently discovered that sleeping in bed with his foster family is pretty great too. He’s a perfect mix of self-sufficient and affectionate.  His polydactyl front paws add extra charm, and seem to help him expertly bat, grab, and carry his favorite toys. Shaman would do well in a home with other friendly cats, small dogs, or with adopters who appreciate a kitten with confidence , curiosity, and a playful streak. He's up to date on vaccines including rabies, tested negative for F ELV/FIV, neutered, dewormed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $240.  We are not accepting online applications for this kitty. They are located at our PetSmart Adoption Center at 16257 N. Scottsdale Rd.  Please proceed there to fill out an application onsite.  February 7, 2026, 1:15 pm

Story
Mystic is a playful, gentle kitten, who truly thrives with companionship. He loves to play, explore, and spend time with his foster cat friends, making him an excellent candidate for a home with other cats or a family considering a bonded style environment.  This sweet boy is still discovering all the comforts of home life and one of his newest favorite things is sleeping in bed with his foster family. Watching Mystic learn to enjoy closeness and affection has been incredibly special. He’s curious, affectionate in his own quiet way, and happiest when he knows he’s not alone.  Mystic has classic kitten energy balanced with a soft, snuggly side that continues to blossom as he gains confidence. He’s the kind of kitten who will follow the lead of other pets, settle in beautifully, and become deeply attached to his people. Mystic does well with small dogs and other cats and requires a furry friend in his new home. He's up to date on vaccines including rabies, tested negative for FELV/FIV, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $240.  We are not accepting online applications for this kitty. Story
Cypher is a playful, affectionate kitten with a big personality and even bigger heart. When he first came into our care, he was very sick, but with love, patience and good medical care he has made an incredible recovery and is now absolutely thriving. His journey has only made him more special.  Cypher loves to play and has that classic kitten energy, chasing toys, exploring his surroundings, and showing off his adorable polydactyl front paws. After playtime, he’s more than happy to curl up for cuddles and soak up affection. He’s the perfect balance of fun and snuggly. This sweet boy does wonderfully with other cats and is also comfortable around small dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. He requires a furry friend in his new home. He’s social, curious, and eager to bond with his people. He's up to date on vaccines including rabies, tested negative for FELV/FIV, neutered, dewormed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $240.  We are not accepting online applications for this kitty.
