Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Smitten is 5 years old and gets along with everyone. He is a very laid back cat. He loves to lay on your lap or lounge in his cat tree by his favorite window soaking up the sun. If he isn’t doing that, he is probably snuggling with his foster mom’s dog. He had some dental trouble and only has his 4 canines left but he is so happy and healthy now. He is good with kids, cats and dogs. Do you have room in your heart to give him his forever home?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    Our adoption fee is $175       If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Cat Interest Form on AZRAIN.ORG and, if you are selected as a prospective adopter, we will contact you to set up a meet and greet. Story
Pheah is a young, unspayed, female calico shorthair that we took in after her owner left her stranded. She is currently pregnant, and we have no information about the father of the kittens. Based on her condition, we expect her to go into labor within the next three weeks. Pheah is a soft-spoken and gentle cat who does not appreciate sudden or loud movements. She was raised with a newborn and a toddler and is excellent with children. She loves affection and enjoys playing with jingling balls that she can swat across the hard floor. However, she is not fond of being picked up or held for long periods. While she is comfortable inside, Pheah prefers a shaded patio. Once she gets to know you, she will greet you with an adorable, soft meow and cock her head to one side, as if to ask, "Where have you been, and why did you take so long?" She gets anxious around bigger male cats and will warn them to stay back with a low growl, but she's all bark and no bite. ☺️

Story
Maple is a kitten who loves people. She is about 6 months old. She really loves being pet, and will lay on your lap as much as she can! She was found outside our apartment complex. The maintenance team found her owners who said they didn’t want her. She was outside starving for a month. She snuck into an apartment they were remodeling and had some paint on her which is mostly gone. We’ve had her for 2.5 weeks and have gotten her weight up significantly as she was skin and bones. She seems perfectly healthy and has had no signs of health issues. We are not sure if she is spayed. Or has had her vaccinations. We are looking for a home for her urgently as our cat is very timid and scared around other cats!

Story
Teena's owner passed away recently. She had been with her mom her whole life. She is 11 years old. A sweetie. Just wants to be with you. Very much a people cat. I don't know about dogs, but baby, yes. Not skittish. A mushball. For the adoption of Teena, we would meet you and do a home visit. Willing to drive within 6 hours of Tucson AZ to your home to deliver. Thank you.

Story
Mina is a gorgeous large 3yo tabby cat. She has been living with us for just over a year and is a sweetheart toward adults, but unfortunately has not gotten along with our dog and young children. Our dog barks at her and chases her, but she lived happily with a more chill dog previously, so I think she could do well with a dog who was a little more polite towards her! I don't know if she would be happy with other cats or not. She is extremely affectionate once she gets to know you and will demand pets and cuddles! Though she also likes her space at times. She needs a calm household with older children and adults who spend lots of time at home. Mina loves open windows, soft seats, chasing toys around corners, and treats.

Story
We rescued Bret as a kitten almost three years ago after his mother abandoned her litter. He is friendly and affectionate in quiet moments, and has no history of aggression. He tends to be skittish and shy around new people and loud activity, but he loves to snuggle and relax with us when the atmosphere is calm. We love Bret very much, but we and our vet believe he would be happier as a single pet. We have 5 other cats and a dog, and over a year ago Bret began urinating/marking outside of the litter box. His vet has ruled out illness and has diagnosed this behavior as psychological and possibly territorial. We believe Bret would thrive in a household where he could be the only cat. He’s a sweet guy with a lot of love to give!
