Story
Meet Gizmo and Ebony, a dynamic duo of sisterly love waiting for a place to call home. Gizmo is a little more sweet and shy, while Ebony is more outgoing but does have a spicy side to her. These pretty sisters are often found cuddled near each other and are looking for a family that will embrace them both with open arms. Whether they're chasing each other around the house or snuggled up together for a cozy nap, Gizmo and Ebony promise to fill your home with double the love and double the joy. Bring these sweet sisters into your life, and let their endless affection light up your days. They can be a bit anxious in new environments and will need some love, a patient hand, and time to adjust in their new home. They are used to being indoor only cats and have lived with other cats and a dog before so would likely be fine in a multi-pet home with proper, slow introductions. Because they are a bit anxious and Ebony can be sassy they would do best in a home without young children. Gizmo is a bit overweight and would benefit from a good diet to help her slim down a bit. She also was born missing some toes on her front paws. Due to this she has developed cutaneous horns on her front paws that do need to be maintained with regular trimming at home just like her regular nails. SPCA staff can give more information. Adopt Gizmo and Ebony today, and welcome a lifetime of feline companionship into your heart. If you are interested in adopting these two, follow these steps:1. Visit our centre to meet this pet, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or2. Submit an online application https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-kamloops and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Story
Meet Freddy, a wise and gentle soul seeking a peaceful haven to spend his golden years. He came in with numerous other cats, all very skinny and malnourished. They were also riddled with concerning worms. Freddy is doing so much better after getting deworming treatments and proper food. Adopters may need to be prepared to administer extra deworming treatments if needed. At the ripe age of 10, Freddy carries himself with warmth and a heart as big as his purr. Freddy radiates affection, cherishing every moment spent in the company of his human companions. Though he may move a bit slower than in his youth, his spirit remains as lively as ever, with a twinkle in his eyes that speaks of a lifetime of love yet to give. Freddy longs for a quiet home where he can bask in the sunbeams and nap in cozy corners, content in the knowledge that he is cherished and adored. He may like to hide a bit at first in a new environment until he feels more comfortable. Adopting Freddy means welcoming not just a cat, but a cherished friend who promises to fill your days with companionship, comfort, and endless love.**Freddy is currently awaiting dental surgery and is not ready to go home - but foster-to-adopt may be an option for local adopters while he is awaiting his surgery.
