Story
You can apply for Rosie at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the “Adopt/Foster” Tab. Rosie is a cuddly yet frisky Long-hair Tortoiseshell female cat, born approximately September 15 2020. Rosie was living on the mean streets of Lake Worth and was rather scratched up when she was picked up by Animal Control. She's too friendly to have been feral, though she was probably dumped a while ago - she walked right into a carrier and was already spayed. She was in rough shape and she probably is allergic to fleas and mosquitos. Rosie is doing well on a fish and potato wet and dry cat food. It has been a long process of healing for Rosie, but we are hopeful she will find the perfect home. Rosie has no qualms with expressing her feelings and thoroughly enjoys inside life. She takes a while to acclimate to changes in people and surroundings, but once she does she loves her snuggle sessions and will on occasion curl up on your chest. She enjoys company and will often follow you around but will occasionally show her tortie 'cattitude' and giving random love bites. As queen of her castle, where you are her only court, she loves being brushed or hanging out on her cat tree while having you nearby. She is ready to oversee her fiefdom! Rosie needs a quiet stable home without a lot of action and changes. Rosie is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and vaccinated (including rabies). She is litter box trained. Rosie is being fostered in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Story
You can apply for Sunshine at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the “Adopt/Foster” Tab. Sunshine is a beautiful brown Tabby female cat, born approximately August 25, 2021. Sunshine was rescued with brothers and sisters from a large trash truck at a repair yard where they were not safe. She was lucky because a Good Samaritan trapped, spayed and got her all ready to be adopted, including her siblings. Sunshine is a gentle little girl but takes a little time to warm up to new situations and people. She is a shy girl but affectionate once she gains trust. She will rub on your legs to request a neck scratch or back massage. She loves to play with toys and the “cat ball track”. She gets along well with other kitties. She enjoys laying in the cat tree where she finds her peace. She needs someone that is patient and will give her time to settle into her new home. Sunshine is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed and vaccinated (including rabies). She is litter box trained.   Sunshine is being fostered in Fort Lauderdale, FL. For more information contact kate@ladyluckanimalrescue.com or text 754-366-3669. Story
You can apply for Gomez at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the 'Adopt/Foster' Tab. Gomez is a handsome black Domestic Short Hair male cat, born approximately November 26, 2022. One night, in a fancy area of Miami, 2 beautiful kittens were first seen outside a restaurant by a family. The mom was so taken by the two that she decided to try and rescue them. She returned and was able to catch the beautiful little black one pretty quickly, but his sister the tabby proved to be a 2-week challenge. She reached out to us to please take them. We agreed to help and named the first one Gomez! She tried for over 2 weeks and finally on a Wednesday she lucked out and got the gorgeous tabby girl... so we named her... Wednesday (she since has been adopted)! Gomez is our playful and loving black charmer, with a tiny bit of white whisks right on his chest...that is his purr spot! Just pet him there and enjoy the Gomez purring symphony! Oh, he also melts when you rub his belly. Gomez loves toys, with his personal favorites being the 'wand' type, or other kitties, always in motion. He likes to supervise housework... loading the dishwasher or folding laundry - he is there with a helpful paw. To everyone's broken heart, our beautiful Gomez had been diagnosed with FIP. (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). The virus was fatal until the recent past, but through extensive research at UC Davis, new meds and treatments were developed that have successfully treated many cats. Since there was hope for Gomez, Lady Luck was on board! His treatment started on 8/10/23 with daily injections for 84 days. Bloodwork was done monthly to track improvement and Gomez recovered!  The treatment was successful and Gomez went into a 3 month observation period to ensure he stayed healthy and he did!  Gomez is completely done with his treatment and is ready for adoption once again! He can be around other kitties, as he has been with no issues. Gomez is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and vaccinated, including rabies. He is litter box trained. Gomez is located at the Good Luck Cat Cafe (901 Progresso Drive, #202, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304). Story
You can apply for Bella at www.ladyluckanimalrescue.org under the “Adopt/Foster” Tab.  Bella is a beautiful tabby tuxedo, Hemmingway (polydactyl) cat.  She is estimated to be around 4 years old.   Bella was found walking near a very busy street with a string in her mouth.  Upon close inspection, it was discovered that it wasn't a string at all.  It was fishing line with a hook lodged in her mouth.  Bella was taken to a vet immediately so that they could remove the hook.  She was so good that they didn't have to use any anesthesia! Bella likes to sleep in her foster mommy’s bed on top of her head.. purring and making biscuits. She is a little shy but she will give you unconditional love with a little bit of patience.  She is super vocal when she hears you open the can of wet food or shake a bag of treats .  She likes to play with small toys and roll around in the catnip for fun.   Bella is spayed and microchipped, she is FIV/FeLV tested negative, fecal tested negative, dewormed, and has all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies. She is litter box trained.  Bella is being fostered in Miramar, FL. For more information contact kate@ladyluckanimalrescue.com or text 754-366-3669.
