Story
Lulu and Benny were both adopted from us in the last year. Very sadly, their mom suffered a medical emergency last week and can no longer care for them ☹️ They’ve been with us all week and are settling in very well. Lulu is almost 3 and originally came to us with 7 babies! She was formerly known as Mama Oats and had the cereal babies. She’s a very loving and affectionate girl who loves to play with her person. Benny was formerly known as Tommy and is about 11 months old now. He came in with many other cats when they showed up at a couple of local colonies. There was a camper/tent community in the woods that he sheriffs dismantled and we believe they left their cats behind when they moved. Benny is loving and friendly and instantly wants to be friends. He is a big snuggler and loves to be a lap cat. Lulu and Benny can coexist and sometimes play together (when Lulu says it’s ok 😹). They are not bonded and can be adopted separately. Benny would love another cat or two to play with and Lulu can be with others or an only cat.

Story
We would like to introduce the handsome Chaney. This beautiful boy is just a year old and was trapped outside earlier this year. He had a bad case of pillow foot and was doing well. He wasn’t sure if he liked people, but was not healthy enough to put back outside. He also needed months of medication to heal his foot. Chaney took his medicine and one day decided he likes people. That like turned to love and he’s an absolutely loveable boy now. You can carry him around like a baby and he won’t complain! Chaney’s pillow foot has healed up, but he has extreme weakness in that leg. The leg seems to collapse when he walks, but he can jump and climb and run just fine. Last week, Chaney was struggling to pee and it turns out he was blocked. His foster rushed him to the emergency vet and they were thankfully able to unblock him without surgery. He has to eat canned urinary food now. At his follow up appointment, it was also discovered that Chaney is diabetic 😭 This guy can’t catch a break! He is on twice daily insulin now and gets that after he eats his two daily meals of canned urinary food. To say Chaney is an investment cat might be an understatement - but he is so worth it 😻🥹 This poor cat never would have made it outside and deserves to be healthy, loved, and safe inside.

Story
At the start of the new year, we welcomed 10 senior cats who desperately needed a soft place to land. These sweet seniors are undersocialized and frightened, and they need patient, loving homes where they can finally feel safe. They all came from the same home and would likely adjust more easily with another feline companion by their side. If you have an open spot on your couch and room in your heart, please consider helping one of these cats spend their golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and love! My name is Lovebug, but I haven't shown my softer side to staff yet. I'm a spicy kind of gal right now but I think with time, patience, socialization, and getting out of this place I could live up to my name. I'm an old girl and just need a lot of time and love.
