Meet Bella!! Bella was born in September of 2024, so she is still a young girl at just 2 years old! She is a friendly and loving girl! Bella loves your attention and enjoys being in your company. Bella was adopted from us as a little kitten, but just recently brought back after her owner could no longer afford to take care of her. Bella was diagnosed about a year ago as having bladder stones, and MUST remain on Prescription Urinary Cat Food for the rest of her life. This food is designed to keep bladder stones from forming and keeps them broke down if they start to develop. It is a must to keep Bella a healthy and happy kitty! She will also need her food measured out at feeding time, to keep her weight in check so she is not obese. She came back to us at nearly 13 pounds and has since lost about 1.5 pounds with her feeding routine and getting out and about for exercise. We have been letting her roam in our intake office with our resident cat! This has let Bella be more active and for us to see a bit more of her personality shine! Meet Angelo! Angelo is about 3.5 months old. He is a social, energetic, fun and playful guy! Angelo is fine with other cats and will be fine with kids as well! He hasn't been around dogs, but we expect with proper introductions, he will be just fine! Angelo will always have "droopy" looking eyes, especially with his right eye. He came in to us as a small kitten with severely infected eyes, we saved his eyes, but the conjunctiva (third eyelids) of the eyes were scarred to his eyeballs. Some of the tissue of the conjuctiva (third eyelids) was removed when he was under for his neuter, but he will never have "normal" looking eyes. The damage from the infection not being treated before coming to us, left permanent scarring. He can see, but his vison is not normal and will never be. Angelo does get along just fine the way he is, and doesn't let it stop him! He will have a bit of watery eyes off and on, for the remainder of his life. Angelo's owner will need to have a relationship with a vet, to provide care for him if he needs eye medication throughout his life. We are happy to suggest a local veterinarian, if you are local to our area. Neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Hello! I'm Maura! I am just 7.5 months old and a gorgeous young lady! I was originally adopted from FCAC when I was about 10 weeks old. The beginning of September when it was so hot outside, I was unfortunately found as a stray. Very dirty and matted, starving for food and water and very overheated. I looked really rough and felt awful. A kind woman saw me outside and knew I needed help! She got me inside to safety and cared for me for several days, until the local Animal Control Officer could come pick me up. The ladies here at FCAC thought I looked very familiar when they saw me, and sure enough, my microchip told them exactly who I was! Contact with my previous adopter was attempted, and sadly they didn’t respond. But don't worry! That's ok, because here I am today and ready to find my new forever home! It took me several weeks to regain weight I had lost, after however long I was left outside for and for me to start feeling more like myself. The girls here got my fur looking better too! I will always need help keeping my fur brushed, especially the "feathery" parts of my tail and back of my legs. My hair is longer, and super soft and gets matted very easily in certain areas. Once a week brushing will help make sure that it always looks beautiful! I am beyond ready to start my life over again, and making memories with my new person who will care for and love me forever! I do enjoy the company of other kitties! Kids should be fine too! I have been around a dog in my past, but introductions need to be made if any are in my new home.
