Story
Nero is a sweet, playful young boy with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun! He’s a 'hunter' at heart — always ready to chase, pounce and keep himself entertained. When the zoomies are done, Nero is all about the cuddles. He loves being close to his people, curling up for naps and soaking in attention like a pro snuggler. He also LOVES his harness adventures 🌿🐾 and confidently explores the outdoors like he’s checking in on his own little kingdom. Nero lives with dogs and older kids (teenagers like him) and is learning all the important house-cat skills in a busy home. He still occasionally gives his humans nibbles when he’s excited or over stimulated — just his way of interacting while he’s still learning boundaries. And if the dogs get a treat? Nero will politely appear to make sure nobody forgets him 😹🐶 This sweet little lion is ready for a forever home where he can play hard, cuddle harder, and be part of the family. 🐾💛 All kitties go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Story
*Courtesy Post Could you give Charlie a chance? This sweet - and oh-so-handsome - boy turned up at a colony caretaker's feeding station earlier this year. Charlie clearly had a home once, and deserves a chance to find one again. From his caretaker: According to the vet, he is about a year old. He showed up at one of our feeding locations in January. In the beginning, he was so scared, he would sprint away as soon as he heard us coming. But then one day, in early February, he just stopped running and came up to me and let me pet him. That’s all it took! He waits for us every morning and evening. He sleeps in one of our cat huts every night. So far, he is friendly with everyone he has come into contact with, even kids. He loves belly rubs and attention in general. He can be picked up for short amounts of time and will sit on your lap for pets. He is neutered and has his rabies shot. We have no idea how he would do in a home or with other pets. But, if someone would take a chance on him, I think he would be a great pet! *Courtesy posting is a service RCHS provides to our community members who need to rehome an animal. This animal is not with RCHS and all information is provided by the animal's current guardian. Story
Hello! We are Nemo and Dory, the best duo of troublemakers you’ll ever love! As sisters, we love each other, but we don’t always LIKE each other. Also, while we love the countertops, our foster mama is teaching us not to jump, such a buzz kill! When we’re not causing mischief, we love cuddling with people - you can find us most of the time on your lap asking for some love. Give us a chance and you’ll have not just one, but two hearts that belong to you! We came to RCHS together, when Dory wasn't feeling great and Nemo had an injured leg that required an amputation. Dory's feeling great now, and Nemo doesn’t mind a bit that she's now a tripod! We're happy, friendly girls who are looking for a home where we can stay together. - Dory is the more confident of the two and helps Nemo to know she is safe. They sleep and play together, often opt to share a food bowl, and groom each other, providing you with ample opportunities to soak up the cuteness that bonded cats bring to the table. Dory has introduced herself to the dog and other cat in her foster home and gets along with everyone. Nemo is still hesitant with the other animals, but would likely adjust to other furry friends as long as they allow her time to get comfortable - All kitties go to their new homes spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Story
Charlie, is energetic and curious. He is quite small for his age (3 yrs old) and he still looks like a kitten. He is very cleanly and his fur is as soft as a rabbit's. He likes to play (with any toy, but especially wand toys). He likes to be picked up, to cuddle and to sit in your lap or on your shoulders. He is not afraid of strangers and is quick to ask new people to play with him or be picked up. He is not aggressive with humans, but when he was a kitten he had some play biting that he grew out of. He does tend to play aggressively with other cats and tends to be domineering and hostile around dogs. He does need a lot of attention and playtime. He would be best for a home with kids to play with him, either where he is the only pet or where there are other larger cats who can keep him in line. He is indoor-outdoors and likes to run through the field outside our house.

Story
Peter, is very gentle, peaceful and sweet. He has never had any aggression or behavioral issues. His favorite thing to do is to cuddle up in your lap while you are relaxing in bed or on the couch. He loves to plop down in front of you and stretch while he gets his tummy pet or his head scratched. He also loves to play with ball toys. He is very shy and takes about 1-2 days to warm up to strangers. He is chill and low maintenance. He would do well in a home as the only pet, or in a home with younger cats/dogs.
