Story
Ebony, a beautiful shorthair black cat, is a shining example of the dedication and love that Diva Pets Cat Rescue has for their feline friends. Despite coming from a colony with documented heart issues, Ebony not only raised her own babies but also took on the responsibility of caring for another mom's litter. Diva Pets Cat Rescue went above and beyond to ensure Ebony's well-being, investing in a specialized spay procedure and an echocardiogram to give her the best chance at a healthy life.Their efforts paid off, as Ebony was found to have an excellent heart, explaining her ability to rear 11 babies. As one of last season's mamas, Ebony is a true miracle and a testament to the care and dedication of Diva Pets Cat Rescue. With her sweet and loving nature, Ebony is the perfect example of a cat who checks all the boxes and is sure to bring joy to any home she enters. If you're interested in this cat or kitten, please fill out an application rather than send an inquiry. Story
We adopted her from the Lawrence Humane Society in July 2022 when she was about a year and a half old. She has been a wonderful companion—very affectionate, social, and people-oriented. She enjoys being around her humans, seeks out attention, and has a gentle, loving personality. She did very well when our son was an infant, but as he has become a toddler, the increased activity and unpredictability have been stressful for her. We also live in a smaller apartment, which limits her ability to have quiet space away from the noise. With an upcoming move, we believe she would truly thrive in a calmer environment. We’re looking for a home where she can get plenty of attention and affection, ideally in a quieter setting. She would likely do best with adults or older children who understand how to interact gently with cats. She has so much love to give and will make a very loyal, affectionate companion in the right home.

Story
We got Bug a couple of years before our son was born. He is a large cat. He does eat a lot and has a hangy tummy, but I mean this guy is big as far as his whole body goes and his vet has said even though he’s 20lbs, he’s likely not that far off his ideal weight. Other than his size, Bug is honestly the happiest and goofiest cat I’ve had or known. He is constantly purring, always interested in a thrown toy, and when it’s dinner time he will come running ready or not. We are looking for someone that can give him a happy, healthy life. Give him lots of attention and snacks. We just feel we haven’t been giving him the attention he needs as first time parents to a toddler.
