Story
It’s with a heavy heart I post this. I’m looking to rehome my 7 year old long haired female cat. I’ve had her for most of her life. Shes updated on her dental cleanings and vaccines. Shes very smart and can do lots of tricks. Shes not very affectionate but loves to lay on you without a ton of pets. She does well with dogs but she does not to well with other cats or children (even if they don’t try to touch her). She does good with teens and older. I have a baby and she’s started to lunge at him unprovoked and I simply can’t keep her anymore. She bites if provoked. We have tried everything. She would come with a covered litter box, automatic feeder, treats, pet care products, and any extra food and litter we already have. Rehoming fee of $50 for safety reasons. Also would definitely like to meet before committing to the adoption. I want to make sure she gets to a good home🤍 also open to answering any more questions and give more information to those interested

Story
We are expecting a baby around March and we think it would be best to do this now instead of later. She is a 4-year-old female calico cat and her name is Bean. She would do best with a single woman if possible, who doesn’t have young children or grandchildren running around a lot. She is a pretty shy and timid cat who doesn’t like lots of things happening, which is why we are trying to re-home her before the baby gets here. She doesn’t do well with children (will always run away but will scratch as a last resort). We aren’t sure how she’d do with other animals and she generally isn’t fond of men. We would be happy to provide any supplies with her (food/water bowls, litter box, cat tree, toys, etc.). She’s not mean, just picky in who she likes and she’s been a great companion to my wife since she was a kitten! She is a great cat and would be a great fit for someone, our family has just outgrown her:/

Story
Adopted from a shelter, super relaxed cat, loves to nap on soft blankets all day and eat. Got along well with the other older cat we had but didn’t much like kittens. Ok with dogs once she gets to them and introduced to kids a few times and didn’t seem to mind them. Warms up quick, especially with treats.

Story
This is Olive. She was adopted about 2.5 years ago and is now approx 5 yrs old. She is very sweet but does not like to be picked up. She is sociable and likes to be in whatever room the family is in. She can be quite the snuggle bug, especially at night in bed. She loves chasing a laser pointer light, playing with cat toys, loves the cardboard scratchers for cats, and cat trees. She seems to get along with various dogs who have visited our home but she does not get along with our 11 yr old male cat, causing lots of stress for all. She would do best as an only cat or possibly with a dog. She is litter box trained, but due to stress of living with our male cat, does not use her litter box consistently and does not like to “share” litter box

Anna's Story This cutie came into the facility with her mom "Queenie" (adopted) and sisters Elsa and Arendelle (both adopted) and brother Kristof. Spay surgery, vaccinations and microchipping are included in her adoption fee of $100. The Siamese kittens have caused quite a stir! Everyone is crazy about these pretty babies. We've been receiving a lot of inquiries and adoption applications for this litter, but Anna and Kristof are still available! Call 913-684-4939 (no voicemail) or 913-335-0788 (voicemail) for an appointment to meet her. Email fortleavenworthstrayfacility@gmail.com for an adoption application. Featured as the Pet of the Week (with brother Kristoff) in the Sept. 25, 2025, issue of the Fort Leavenworth Lamp. ADOPTED Sept/Oct 2025 but returned to our care December 2025 for a better fit.

Story
Cali was left here at the motel with her kittens when her previous owner couldn’t take her after moving. Her kittens are more than old enough now to be without her (about 20 weeks old). She loves to lay halfway on your lap and is good with other animals and kids.
