Story
Terri is a sweet and gentle soul, though she may be a bit reserved at first. She tends to be shy around new people and environments, but once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into a loving and affectionate companion. Terri enjoys being petted and will purr contentedly when she receives attention. She appreciates calm and quiet environments where she can relax and feel secure. She arrived at the shelter matted so she had to be shaved to alleviate some discomfort she was in. Terri is a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate feline friend. With the right environment and care, she will surely blossom into a beloved member of the family. If you're interested in giving Terri the loving home she deserves, please consider adopting her today. This cat is available for adoption from Oceana County Animal Control. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this cat's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact persons in the order they are on the list. The adoption fee is $35 and you receive certificates for $25 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies if not already done.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This kitty showed up absolutely starving a year ago. We fed her and got her fixed but my cat absolutely will not accept her. They must be kept separate. I can’t take the swapping out of cats any more. She has small proportions due to malnutrition. I don’t think she will ever be a large cat. She is loving but my male cat always wants to hurt her and I have tried everything from pheromones to reintroducing them. She lives mainly outside but loves to come in. She has a thing for socks and will constantly bring them to you. She loves attention but seems scared of strangers at first. She has not seen a vet but seems healthy. If the cats could get a long I would keep her 100%. She would make a good barn cat too. She seemed to know dogs and gets along with ours very well. I suspect she could get along w other cats just not ours. She may be skittish from her experience here. She needs a loving home free of the cat who lives here. Thank you.
