I am bonded with my best friend, Latke, we need to be adopted together. These beautiful girls arrived at Homeward Animal Shelter together. Quite shy and under socialized. Both have since decided humans are a good thing! They will require patience to adjust in their forever home, but these delightful girls are worth it! Their day consists of eating, playing (with each other, with their fosters and foster cats), wrestling, napping and then repeating multiple times throughout the day. Being they are still kittens; they do have a lot of energy and curiosity to keep themselves and you entertained! They are definitely food motivated. Churus are their favorite treats and the way to their hearts. Barracuda really likes attention and pets, though at times, she can still be a bit skittish. Almost every evening, though, she finds her way to the couch and sits on or next to her foster, purring and soaking up as much love as she can! Latke has taken more time to earn our trust, but she now is much more receptive to pets and will at times, even “lean” into our affections. Always curious about us, if she is not with Barracuda, she is usually in the same area as we are. She too, is still a bit skittish at times, but is getting more comfortable every day. Though these girls may take some extra time to adjust, they are so worth it and will add joy, laughter, and love to your home!!

Mama Mia (1-2 years old) Mama Mia is a petite orange tabby with gold eyes, and she has a gentle and sweet personality. This pretty girl is shy and needs time to warm up to you. She’s had a litter of kittens, and she has been the best mother, cooing and trilling to her babies, which she will also do when people she knows come into the room. This is a quiet cat who will come to her favorite people when they offer her a treat. She appreciates gentle pets, and she likes her neck and back scratched the best, but she prefers to keep all four feet on the ground as being picked up makes her feel less secure. Mama Mia does well with other cats and dogs. If you have a quiet home and are willing to let this beautiful girl take things at her own pace, you will have a trusted friend.
