Story
Clementine was found in a laundry mat parking lot 3 weeks ago in very rough shape. She was skinny, in labor, and having complications. She unfortunately lost both of her babies and needed an emergency spay to save her own life, but she has recovered beautifully and has a very bright spirit. She is likely just under a year old, she was found as a stray, but is friendly and loves attention. She's a little nervous around people and will need patience and a gentle hand to show her she’s safe. When she warms up to you, you will find her favorite place to rest is on your lap or next to you on the bed or couch. She’s quiet, kind, and gentle, very good with car rides, being in a carrier, and vet visits. Her favorite toy is a laser pointer.Clementine will do best in a quiet home. Her demeanor towards dogs and young kids are unknown, but she seems to struggle adjusting to a home with other cats. She is spayed, FIV and Feline Leukemia negative, and treated for fleas and worms.

Story
Meet April — A Gentle Heart in Search of Her Forever Home. April’s story is one of quiet transformation. When she first arrived at our sanctuary as a tiny springtime kitten, she was shy and uncertain, unsure of the world around her. But with time, love, and patience, this beautiful girl has blossomed into a sweet, tender companion — now she just needs the right home to complete her journey. April is a soft soul who thrives in the company of other calm, gentle cats. She absolutely adores snuggling with her feline friends, often curling up in a cozy pile for warmth, comfort, and companionship. She feels safest and happiest when she has a calm kitty companion by her side — and for that reason, we would love to see her adopted with a trusted shelter friend she already knows and loves. With people, April is shy at first — but once she trusts you, she enjoys gentle pets, quiet snuggles, and will reward your patience with soft purrs and affection. She isn’t a bold, outgoing cat, but she is incredibly loving in her own peaceful, steady way. Watching her bloom into a confident companion will be one of the most rewarding experiences for her future family. April’s Info: Born approximately 3/1/2024; Sleek black coat; Spayed; Up to date on vaccinations; Tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV; Flea-treated, dewormed, and healthy. April will do best in a calm home where she can continue to blossom at her own pace, surrounded by understanding people and maybe even a snuggly feline friend. She’s waited so patiently for someone to see the beauty and love she has to offer. Could that someone be you? Apply to meet April today: https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
It's Day Five of Betsy's Litter of Adorable Kittens, but we have two youngins today, because, well, these guys are special. Captain and Barbara are just as cute and snuggly and sweet as their siblings, but they are both very timid and shy, and we think that they would do best being adopted with a sibling. It doesn't have to be THIS sibling, but it makes sense to have the quiet ones together, right? Plus, these two kittens were part of our Mother's Day naming sensation, so they are already special- now you get double that cuddle! CAPTAIN weighs in as the largest of our litter, but is definitely the most timid. Sporting a black collar, this tiger kitty with white paws is a little over 8 weeks old, and is ready to leave our nest...with, we suggest, a friend. BARBARA is a dilute calico with just a smidge of orange on her, and is currently in a pink collar. At not even 2 pounds, our little sweetheart is ready for a new home, but will acclimate so much better and be so much happier, if she can go with a sibling. Captain and Barbara have also: -Tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV; -Received their vaccinations; -Been treated for fleas and worms; and -Had a negative fecal test. The balance of their vaccinations and spay/neuter is included in our adoption plan. All are age-appropriate services. If you love an adorable kitten, but don't love the idea of all the antics that go along with one, how about a more quiet, more introspective, more demure little one? And how about two? If the idea of opening up your home to two sweet, quiet kitties sounds like the perfect thought, with the prefect pair, fill out an application today! https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
Buckle up, kids; our girl Zena has been through a LOT in her short life. In just a year in a half, our little grey tiger has been pregnant, she was hit by car, and she needed her leg amputated for her injury. You'd better believe she is a Warrior Princess! In spite of all that she has been through, Zena is a LOVER- good luck trying to get anything done with her coming up and snuggling with you at any opportunity. She is pretty agile on only three legs, and spends her time purring and looking for more love. One thing she isn't a fan of, is dogs, but she does get along just fine with all of her Sanctuary friends (both two and four footed). Zena has also: -Tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV; -Received her vaccinations; -Been spayed; -Been treated for fleas and worms; and -Had a negative fecal test. The balance of her vaccinations is included in our adoption plan. All are age-appropriate services. Zena comes by her name naturally. She has overcome struggle after struggle, but through it all, she is as sweet and loving as a cat should be. If your home is pro-snuggling, please fill out an application today! https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application

Story
Meet Ace, Bogie and Birdie, three very different little gray kittens who are ready to start looking for their forever homes! Born April 1, 2026, these siblings have already checked a lot of boxes on their way to adoption — but each one has their own story. They are all playful, sweet and snuggly, and they make fast friends with people and kitties alike. They’re the kind of kittens who are happy to play hard one minute and curl up with you the next. 🩶 ACE - Ace is a neutered male gray and white tabby. He has received his first two rounds of kitten vaccinations, and his final vaccine is included in his adoption fee. 🩶 BOGIE - Bogie is a neutered male solid gray kitten with two really cool, wide dark stripes running down his back. He has also received his first two rounds of kitten vaccinations, with his final vaccine included in his adoption fee. 🩶 BIRDIE - And then there’s Birdie… our itty-bitty girl. Birdie is a solid gray, fluffy female and the runt of the litter. She is less than half the size of her siblings, so she definitely needs someone who appreciates a tiny package! Birdie has a flattened chest (inverted ribcage), which makes her more vulnerable than the average kitten. Despite that, she is expected to have a normal life. Her biggest need is simply a home that understands she needs to be treated a little more gently. For Birdie, we're looking for a quiet home without dogs or aggressive cats. An adult home would likely be the best fit, where there is less chance of her being accidentally hurt by a larger or overly playful animal. She needs an attentive pet parent who will recognize that this little girl may need a little extra consideration. Birdie has received her first round of kitten vaccinations. Her remaining vaccines and spay are included in her adoption fee. All three kittens have been treated for fleas, had negative fecal tests, and tested negative for both Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and FIV. There is also a fourth sister, Caddie, who is another beautiful solid-gray kitten. She has a little cold right now, so we're waiting until she's feeling better before introducing her. These kittens may all be gray, but there’s definitely no shortage of personality in this litter! If you're ready to add a little gray matter to your household, start with an adoption application: https://www.catsanctuaryashland.org/adoption-application
