When she first arrived at our sanctuary as a tiny springtime kitten, she was shy and uncertain, unsure of the world around her. But with time, love, and patience, this beautiful girl has blossomed into a sweet, tender companion — now she just needs the right home to complete her journey. April is a soft soul who thrives in the company of other calm, gentle cats. She absolutely adores snuggling with her feline friends, often curling up in a cozy pile for warmth, comfort, and companionship. She feels safest and happiest when she has a calm kitty companion by her side — and for that reason, we would love to see her adopted with a trusted shelter friend she already knows and loves. With people, April is shy at first — but once she trusts you, she enjoys gentle pets, quiet snuggles, and will reward your patience with soft purrs and affection. She isn’t a bold, outgoing cat, but she is incredibly loving in her own peaceful, steady way. There are no surprises with our black and white boy Rio; just like his can't-be-missed coat, he has a huge personality, too! This sweet boy loves to help (supervise?) around our facility; he is always nearby to help you with whatever you are doing, or to encourage you to take a break and give him a snuggle or three. He is mischievous and full of fun, but is always happy to spend time cuddling with you! Rio is just over a year old, and has had surgery on his left eye (we aren't sure if he had an old injury or untreated infection, but he is 100% able to find you, whether it's time to have fun or a snuggle!) Rio was too sweet to stay a TNR; we know someone will be able to match the love he has to give! In addition, Rio has also: -Tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV; -Is neutered; -Is vaccinated; -Has been treated for fleas and worms; and -Had a negative fecal test. -The balance of his vaccinations are included in our adoption plan. Often, we will get questions about how we come up with the names for our cats. Well, this one is easy: Bistro here wandered into the Greens Bistro during one of our many cold snaps. The door opened, she walked right in out of the freezing cold, and the rest is history! We are so thankful that the Greens could help out our girl when she most needed it; now she is looking for someone to help her and give her a home, forever. At one year old, this pretty tiger girl is pretty resilient (obviously), and her sweet nature and kind disposition will make her the purr-fect addition to anyone's home. She knows she wants warmth and companionship, and she would love to find that with you!
