I am posting this for my mom Joyce Gary and her brother Doug has gone into assisted living. Sissy is his cat and no one in the family can take Sissy due to allergies. We talked with the Licking County Humane Society in Newark, Ohio and they cannot take Sissy so we got Rehome by Adopt A Pet from them. Spoily was my dad’s cat. He passed away. She is about 10 years old. She is very large. We don’t pick her up because of her size so unsure if she likes to be held. She is otherwise friendly. We need to find her a home ASAP as we have to move everything out of the house. Unfortunately I cannot keep her d/t severe allergies.

Slick is about 6 yrs old. He showed up at my house after a rainstorm and wouldn't leave so I had him neutered and his shots. He loves dogs and kids but isn't good with other cats. My other cats never accepted him and he is always fighting with one of them especially my other male who is also neutered. He started spraying recently and I think it is because of the other cats. He didn't do this at first. He is very loving with my dogs and people. If I had a barn I would make him stay outside, but I don't so I deal with his bad behavior. I don't want any money for him, I just want him to have a good home.

Jeanne is our longest resident currently. She's been with us over a year and has had some challenges. She went into foster care since she doesn't get along with the other cats at the ARC but she didn't do any better there. She came back to us and we would love nothing more than to place her in a home with someone that is looking for a loving, affectionate cat but ideally no other cats in the home. She loves people and would make a great lapcat for someone that needs companionship after a long, hard day at the office. She is absolutely gorgeous!! My name is Basil and I'm patiently awaiting a new family. I was rescued from right in front of Groovy Plants. You know the cool plant place that folks come from far and wide to visit? I was named after a favorite herb plant myself. Pretty cool huh? Well I've learned a lot during my tenure here at the HSofMC but it's time to move on to bigger and better things.
