Story
Meet Stella, our resident senior feline who exudes a mellow and independent spirit. She's the kind of cat who enjoys her solitude, often finding comfort in her own little hideaway spots. But don't be fooled, Stella knows how to appreciate a good company. She welcomes attention, but in her own unique way, on her own terms. This means she's perfect for those who respect boundaries and understand the value of personal space. Adopting Stella means welcoming a wise, seasoned companion who will share her calm energy with you, while also teaching you the beauty of quiet independence. She has previously lived and done well with another cat, and a dog. She may be able to live with older children who can respect her space and boundaries. Stella would love a home that can provide her with a lot of wet food snacks! She enjoys spending her nights looking out the window and spending her days curled up in a hiding place to sleep.Stop in and meet her today!

Story
Meet Brady, the Super Cat. Once a street wanderer, Brady stumbled upon a mysterious wand. Touching it, she gained superpowers! She used her newfound abilities to help those around her, becoming a local hero. One day, a villain tried to steal the wand. In a heroic battle, Brady defended it, but in the aftermath, she found herself in a shelter. Despite losing her freedom, Brady remained positive, her mellow and friendly nature shining through. She still enjoys the thrill of 'battle' with her favorite wand toy and loves attention. Adopt Brady, not just a cat, but a superhero!Upon arrival, a routine blood test showed a positive result for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). The lifespan of an infected FeLV cat is typically 1-3 years after infection. Cats with FeLV may not show obvious symptoms for a period of time, but there is no cure, and treatment can only manage symptoms of illness when the animal becomes symptomatic. When a FeLV positive cat begins to show health decline or deterioration of condition, humane euthanasia is recommended. FeLV can be contagious to other cats through bodily fluids and prolonged contact. It is recommended that FeLV positive cats live as an only cat or with other confirmed positive cats. FeLV is not contagious to people or dogs. Positive cats will have a weakened immune system, and it will be important that they remain housed indoors only and receive preventative care. A confirmation test has not been performed at this time. An adopter may consider having a repeat test performed in 2-6 months with their primary veterinarian to confirm a true positive result.Brady spent some time in foster care for our annual Home for the Holidays program and her foster family described her as lazy and cuddly!! She likes catnip and "simple toys", snuggling, sleeping, and cleaning herself!! She is "very sweet" and loved scratching posts!!Brady's adoption fee is WAIVED for her new family!

Meet Mrytle, the melodious mellow cat with a penchant for petting and a sweet disposition. She found her way to the shelter after a hilarious incident involving a tuna sandwich, a skateboard, and a startled mailman. Mrytle, ever the adventurous feline, decided to hitch a ride on the skateboard, aiming for the tuna sandwich in the mailman's bag. However, she ended up in our shelter instead, and has been serenading us with her vocal talents ever since. Adopt Mrytle and enjoy the soothing sounds of her purrs and the comforting warmth of her cuddles. She's the perfect companion for anyone seeking a serene and sweet-natured friend."Upon arrival, a routine blood test showed a positive result for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). Meet Sammie, a cat with a penchant for solitude and a knack for adventure. He's as playful as he is independent, and he loves his toys. But let's rewind to how Sammie ended up at the shelter. It all started when he mistook a garbage truck for a giant, noisy cat toy. In his excitement, he hitched a ride and ended up miles away from home. Now, Sammie is looking for a quiet home, away from any trash truck routes. He's a mellow fellow who prefers the quieter side of life. If you're looking for a playful companion who will keep you on your toes, Sammie is your guy. He may be shy, but he's got a heart full of love to give.Stop in and meet Sammie today!

Story
Meet Chaplin! Miss Chaplin (so named for her cute little 'stache!) came to THS after her owner could no longer care for her. This shy but sweet lil lady spent some time out in foster care and now she is ready to find her furrever home with you! Her foster mom describes her as laid back with other animals (she previously lived with and is currently living with another adult cat!) and a lover of bird watching, laying on anything soft, and hiding out in cat caves! (She "claimed" a cat cube at her foster's house and it will go home with her!") Chaplin may shy away from touch at first, but given the space she needs to approach when she feels comfortable, this pretty girl will show her sweet side!! Her foster describes her as, "the most affectionate cat who is happy to just exist with her person" when given the time and space she needs to warm up to her environment! Interested in adopting this pretty little lady?? Stop by and meet her today!!
