Story
Matilda, Matty, Tilley...... or give her a new name that you think suits her personality! We don't know if this gal had another name as she was a homeless stray brought in during this past extra cold winter! We also don't know her exact age but believe she is at least 5 yrs young (but could be older). Her foster mom told us Matilda's love language seems to include some love nipping so we don't recommend her for a home with children. This may subside once she is in a home and getting all the attention. Matilda is looking for a comfy indoor home with someone who will dote on her. She will walk right in and make herself at home! She LOVES affection, will jump into a good lap for some cuddle time, sleeps on the bed and LOVES new toys. She is playful and sweet. She'll meet you at the door after a hard day's work. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and received parasite prevention. We don't know how Matilda feels about other cats nor dogs. IF you are looking for a "wingwoman" who will show you her appreciation for being her companion, please fill out the short online adoption inquiry form - link attached for your convenience. https://www.felinefriends.ca/adoption-inquiry

Story
Meet Mila! Mila is a sweet and gentle girl with beautiful long grey and buff fur that makes her just as lovely to look at as she is to be around. She’s a quiet, friendly cat who truly enjoys the company of people. While she may be a little shy when first meeting someone new, Mila warms up very quickly and soon becomes a loving companion who enjoys being near her humans. She can be quite the talker! If a chatty companion is what you`re looking for, Mila is your girl!Mila does have some special dietary needs, so she will require a dedicated adopter who can maintain her special diet and has a good relationship with a veterinarian. Because of this, her adoption fee has been reduced to help her find the caring home she deserves. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate cat who will reward your patience with lots of love, Mila might be the perfect match for you.A NOTE FROM THE FOSTER:Mila loves to play but mostly when I am giving her reason to.  She loves her gentle pets and her favourite  places on the couch, near a window or on the bed.***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Any applications submitted outside of www.kwsphumane.ca may not be received.

Story
Meet Chance, a charming 9-year-old gentleman who believes life is best enjoyed with belly rubs, playtime, and a warm lap. This affectionate boy loves a good cuddle session, but he still has a playful side and enjoys chasing toys and joining in on fun. Chance is happiest snuggled up beside his person, soaking in love and giving it right back. He would thrive in a calm home where he can relax, play, nap, and be your loyal cuddle buddy. Chance gets along with other cats and would be happy to be adopted with one of his resident kitty friends! If you’re looking for a loving companion who will happily keep your lap warm and your heart full, Chance is ready to make your home his forever. If interested in hearing more about him and/or his resident cat companions also looking for a home please fill out an inquiry form and a volunteer will be in touch. https://www.felinefriends.ca/adoption-inquiry

Story
Angel is a lovely tabby girl with a gentle soul and a heart full of love just waiting to shine. She can be a little nervous when meeting new people or exploring new surroundings, but with a bit of patience and kindness, her true personality quickly begins to show. While Angel was very nervous and hid a lot during her first days at the SP Humane Society, we have seen her come out of her shell a tremendous amount, and would be very happy to send her home with someone who is able to let her continue to build her confidence and socialize!Once Angel realizes she’s safe, she absolutely melts under gentle pets. A few soft strokes and you’ll see her relax completely, leaning into your hand and soaking up every bit of affection. It’s clear that while she may be shy at first, she truly loves being cared for and comforted.Angel would do best in a calm, understanding home where she can take her time settling in. She does not like being picked up and needs quiet and composure during travel or stressful environments. She has experience with both cats and dogs, and would make a great pet for a variety of homes because of this with the proper introductions. For someone willing to give her that patience and love, Angel will reward you with sweet, quiet companionship and some of the most heart-melting cuddle moments. At HSKWSP we do not assign our dogs or cats with a breed as we cannot guarantee the specific breed that they are.  All dogs are labelled as small, medium and large breed and cats are labelled as DSH, DMH and DLH based on their characteristics.***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
At only 8 months old, Jimothy was found alone on the side of highway 8, unmoving and in pain. He was brought into our centre by a kind stranger, and thanks to the incredible support of the animal community, we raised enough money to cover his surgery, care, and recovery. Now, Jimothy is healing well and finally ready to step out of the clinic, and into his fur-ever home! Despite the difficulties he has encountered, he remains a playful, curious, and affectionate young cat, and would love nothing more than a comfy lap to snuggle up on, a big box of toys, and a kind heart to share his stories with.If you`re ready to welcome this resilient, strong, and sweet little fluffball into your family and can give him a home with lots of love, apply today!***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets.
