Story
Wilbur is a sweet boy with a calm nature. He may be a little shy when first settling in, but once he feels safe, his true personality begins to shine. On his terms, he shows affection in the most endearing ways, especially with his signature very enthusiastic head bumps (fair warning: they’re strong enough to knock you over!).From Wilbur’s foster home:Wilbur has been shy in the home, but he’s steadily coming out of his shell. He enjoys being near people and will often observe from a cozy cat tree or enclosed space, like a cube or box. He prefers to approach humans on his own terms and doesn’t enjoy being picked up, though he’ll tolerate it briefly. He’s very food-motivated (Churus are a huge hit!) and this has helped build trust and confidence. Wilbur has a playful side that’s still emerging, he plays independently right now and is a bit bashful about joining in, but his foster is confident that with patience, his playful personality will continue to blossom. He also loves to snuggle close and keep a calm presence nearby so he can “keep an eye” on things. Wilbur has been very calm and friendly with other cats in his foster home. He greets them politely and shows no aggression. He may do well with another friendly feline, provided a slow and gradual introduction is done. Dogs seem to make him nervous. He would do best with a calm, low-energy dog who can respect his space (or a dog-free home).***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Story
Popcorn is a little golden kernel ready to pop into your life. Popcorn is an affectionate boy who truly enjoys human company. He loves pets, soaks up attention, and brings warm, cozy energy wherever he goes. Story
Lester is a gentle soul who likes to take life at his own pace. He can be a little nervous when meeting new people, preferring to observe and settle in on his own terms, but with patience and snacks his true personality begins to shine. In foster care, Lester has been steadily gaining confidence. He first opened up to the children in the foster home (treats definitely helped!), and now he’s blossomed into a sweet and social companion. He’s started greeting his people with little meows and coming out of hiding on his own. Now he will happily ask for affection. Lester adores head scratches and enjoys being brushed from nose to tail (he will roll over in pure happiness from this). He’s also discovered the joy of playtime and has a fondness for a little toy mouse.Lester would thrive in a calm, patient home where he has a quiet space to retreat to when he needs a break. For someone willing to let him set the pace, Lester rewards that trust with affection and love. If you have room in your heart for a shy guy who just needs time to feel safe, Lester might be your perfect match!**This cat has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). They’ll need to join a home with other FIV-positive cats or be your one-and-only feline friend. With proper care, many cats with FIV live long, happy, and healthy lives, full of love, play, and companionship*****NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
Captain commands attention without demanding it! He loves being near people and keeping watch over the action. His favorite perch? The captain’s chair in the kitchen, of course! After all, no good ship should sail alone. While Captain isn’t a fan of being picked up, he’s a true connoisseur of chin scratches and pets. And when it’s playtime, he transforms into an adventurous sailor, just toss him a ball or spring, and he’ll chase it across the room with pure joy. Captain is an easygoing and independent crewmate who gets along with the grandchildren when they visit his foster home and thrives with people around. His foster mom also reports she has found him to be tidy in their home and he doesn`t seem to scratch the furniture! The Captain is plotting a course to a household ready to shower him with attention, playtime, and a comfy chair to keep watch from. Captain is ready to be your loyal first mate on this journey called life!***This cat has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Story
Timothy / Neutered Male / 1.5 Years / DSH - Brown Tabby with White / Dogs: No / Cats: Untested / Kids: Yes / Location: Port Elgin Meet Mr. Timothy! This handsome 1.5 year old gentleman is as charming as they come. Timothy loves his pets and cuddles, on his own cat like terms, of course, and he’s always up for some playtime with his favourite toys and treats. His daily routine? Watching the world go by from his window perch, keeping an eye on the neighbourhood happenings like the sophisticated boy he is. Timothy is also a rare gem, he’s great in the car! That’s not something many cats can brag about. This sweet, affectionate boy loves to be around his people. Whether he’s following you from room to room, curling up beside you, or politely asking for attention, Timothy’s gentle presence is constant. He’s smart, curious, and quick to pick up on your routines and moods. While Timothy has been around dogs before, he wasn’t their biggest fan. With time he might adjust, but he’d really prefer to be your one and only feline king. Ready to give this handsome boy his forever home? https://forms.gle/fdhenPLEDRYfkXdc7
