Meet DIno!Dino came into the shelter January 28th found stray. Dino is a very clean, calm, quiet kitten. That is until you pick him up then, he will purr so loud you can hear it from across the room. He can be a little shy at first but once he is in your arms he doesn’t want to leave. He will also not pass up the opportunity to take a ride on your shoulders if you let him. He seems really interested in playing with the other cats, he would love to go into a home with another brother or sister. He also loves a comfy bed and won’t pass on a treat. This cuddle bug is looking for a place where he can feel comfortable and confident so that he may come fully out of his shell. He is the sweetest little guy. Meet Poe!Poe came into the shelter January 6th from another rescue. He came in with his “brother” Lucien. We were told that the original owner had to surrender them both due to their living arrangements changing and not being able to keep them any longer. Poe is a little shy at first but, does warm up and does not turn down a good pet sesh. He does not seem to be a fan of dogs but, he might be ok in a home with a dog that ignores him. We all love Buddha. He`s a shelter favorite. Buddha is an older cat who is FIV+. He`s spent 3 years in the shelter now, during which time he has charmed us all. He`s a big, smart, confident cat who clearly lived on the streets a long time.He`s the type of cat that likes being petted-until he doesn`t anymore. He doesn`t like dogs, especially big males (most likely from bad experiences in his past) but if you introduce him nicely to one, train either animal to respect boundaries, and use patience in monitoring Buddha with a dog, then he is good and lets them be.This rugged beast is picky about his cat friends and loves to be super affectionate so being the only pet is his ideal home, so this little gargoyle gets all the attention.Buddha loves his people, but you`ll have to put up with the occasional love bite. He really has a personality and is not a wallflower.
